Massive THANK YOU to the FOCS for fully funding Year 1 and 2’s class trip to Raby castle! The children thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much information about Raby castle and being able to see, smell, hear and feel what it’s like in a real castle was brilliant! So much learning was gained, we could have stayed longer! The children were amazed at how cold it was in the kitchen and the servants room and how far they had to take the food to be served! Thank you, it will definitely be a trip to be remembered!

✨🧦 ODD SOCK DAY 🧦✨

A polite reminder that tomorrow (Monday 10th November) we will be celebrating Odd Sock Day as part of Anti-Bullying week.

Please can children wear odd socks to school. Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or to buy expensive costumes. All you have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school, it couldn’t be simpler! Odd Socks day will take place on the first day of Anti-Bullying Week each year to help raise awareness of bullying. We will be taking part in a variety of activities this week focusing on Anti-Bullying.

Many thanks, Miss Thomas.

Following on with our Farming topic this half term, Chris Tarn came to talk to us about the jobs he does on his family farm and of course show us one of his lovely sheepdog pups! The children absolutely loved this visit and it really enhanced the children's learning. Thank you Chris! Miss Lee
