🌟 Supporting Work Experience - Can You Help? 🌟
We are currently preparing for our Year 10 work experience programme, taking place from 29th June to 3rd July, and we are looking for support from our wider community.

Some of our students are still seeking placements, and we would love to hear from any local businesses or organisations who might be able to offer an opportunity, no matter how big or small.

Work experience is a valuable opportunity for students to develop confidence, build key skills, and gain insight into the world of work.

In return, it’s a fantastic chance to support young people and engage with enthusiastic learners.

We are excited to invite parents, students, and the local community to our annual 6th Form Art Exhibition on Thursday, 18 June, during our Open Evening.

Come along to celebrate the phenomenal talent and hard work of our A-Level students across Art, Textiles, Photography, and Design Technology. Prepare to be inspired!

📖 Our book club is excited to receive the new books which have been ordered for the library from The Carnegie Awards 2026 Medal for writing.

They will shadow the awards by reading the books on the shortlist and making their own judgement about which book should receive the award.

🥎 P.E UPDATE 🏏 Our U15s took part in the School Games Rounders Tournament this week. A fantastic show of teamwork saw them narrowly miss out on 2nd place as a tie on points meant final positions were decided on the total number of rounders scored. The result meant 3rd place was secured by a small half-rounder difference! Fantastic Corsham Character shown in windy conditions. Well done to all involved 👏

Our Annual Open Evening will run next Thursday, the 18th of June 2026, from 6pm-8.30pm. This is an opportunity for families to tour the school, visit curriculum areas and meet key staff.

Mr Bell, Headteacher, will also give a presentation in our Main School Hall. His talk will take place at 6pm and, again, at 7pm.

The Corsham School Academy Group seeks to appoint someone who is reliable, confident and comfortable in delivering pre-prepared lessons and creating a purposeful and orderly environment in which students can complete the work during teaching staff absence.

We want to hear from you if you have an interest in teaching or have had previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, volunteer or youth leader with secondary aged children.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is able to make the significant contribution required to secure the very best outcomes for all students at The Corsham School. As part of our Induction Programme, full training will be given on our classroom procedures and protocols.

This is a responsible and rewarding role and can be a great stepping stone into teacher training.

Our Year 7s took part in the Super 8s athletics competition this week. Some superb performances from all involved saw the team come in third in both the boys' and girls' competitions!
