The children have had lots of fun in the garden today, making leaf mud pies in our outside kitchen and going on a bug hunt around the garden with our magnifying glasses and clip boards to draw what we had found. 🍂🍁🐌🐜🪱

In May of this year 5-year-old Florence was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Which affects around 100 children each year making it a rare form of leukaemia within children. Florence has been identified in the 'high risk category' and further genetic testing has confirmed a rare gene rearrangement which affects less than 10% of children with AML. Due to this gene rearrangement Florence’s family are trying to work hard and fast to get the right treatment.

“This is all very private information that we did not want to share publicly but we now have no choice, we need help. We will do everything in our power to help save our beautiful princess and what we need to do now is ask for the kindness of others.

The best treatment option Florence currently has available to her is a bone marrow transplant that she will have in approximately 5 or 6 weeks. They have searched the database and she does not currently have a complete match.” Andy Bark

If you would like to sign up to the bone marrow donors list, please follow these links below.

If you are over 30, you can register to become a donor at: https://www.dkms.org.uk/register-now

With the weather hitting high temperatures tomorrow, please can we ask all parents to apply sun cream to children before attendance and to put some in their bags if staying after 1pm, so that we can reapply this for the afternoon☀️. Also to bring in a named sun hat and water bottle. The children love play outside, so we will still be enjoying the outdoors with lots of fun activities and water play, with shade for the children to shelter under. 💦
