Following on from our lovely first morning photos, here is a quick snippet of what our new P1 boys and girls got up to over the past 2 days! 🖍️🌈

The room was filled with laughter, chatter, and so much wonderful play. From building and colouring to singing, dancing, and making new friends, our little ones settled right in and blew Miss McFlynn away with how quickly they picked up our classroom routines!

They truly made themselves right at home! 🏡🫶

🍎 Welcome to Primary 1!🎒✨

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming our Primary 1 boys and girls on Thursday!
There was so much joyful playing, exploring, and settling in—our new little ones did amazingly well, and the classroom was buzzing with big smiles and happy chatter. More photos to follow!📸

A huge thank you to all the parents for joining us and helping make their first morning so special. Enjoy a lovely, relaxing weekend!

Last week, we bit a fond and emotional farewell to our wonderful Primary 7 leavers. Today, our hearts are full for a different reason as we celebrate the very youngest members of our school family!

It feels like just yesterday these little boys and girls walked through our doors, took their first steps on their St. Mary’s Journey, and filled our school with their bright smiles and endless energy.

Today, they have officially signed out of Primary 1! 🌟

From learning their phonics and counting to making lifelong friends and growing in confidence every single day, we could not be prouder of the brilliant, kind, and resilient independent learners they are becoming.

Primary 2, get ready—here they come! 🚀📚🎨

We had some very special visitors yesterday! Kildress Credit Union dropped by the school to hand out prizes to all the children who have been diligently saving their pennies and pounds throughout the year. The boys and girls were absolutely delighted with their shiny new medals!

A massive congratulations to our Overall Best Saver of the Year: Nora McGurk in P6! Brilliant effort, Nora!

We are so proud of all our savers. It is a fantastic way to teach the children about the benefits of saving and building great habits for the future.

☀️ A Fantastic Morning for Primary 4! ☀️

We had a brilliant time we had visiting KE Plumbing and McAleer & McGarrity to bring our world around us learning to life! 🌍🌱

Our pupils got a first-hand look at some amazing renewable energy technologies in action, exploring everything from solar panels and wind turbines to EV chargers and underfloor heating. They absolutely blew us away with their fantastic questions!

The ice cream at the end was the perfect finish to a super morning! 🍦
