Scavenger hunting at the park and looking at the wild life. it's definitely got an autumn feel now, and we have been looking at space this week and learning all about the different planets. We even got to go in a real rocket to the moon where we got to wear a space suit and had lots of fun exploring our imaginations. We have been looking at black history and learning about the artist Alma Thomas. We even created some replicas.
We have had lots of fun together this week.

It’s been another fantastic week at nursery, and we’ve had lots of fun learning, exploring and making special memories together!

This week, we have been learning all about the people who help us. We had a very exciting visit to the fire station, where the children enjoyed finding out more about firefighters and the important jobs they do to help keep us safe. Back at nursery, we continued our learning through lots of dressing up and role-play, allowing the children to act out different helping roles and use their imaginations.

We also celebrated World Milk Day and enjoyed getting creative with our artwork for the Answer the competition. 🎨πŸ₯›

We were very excited to hold our own Free Stay and Play, giving the children lots of opportunities to explore, play and enjoy activities together.

The children also enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Friendship Garden. 🌱 They were so excited to pull out their very own cabbages to take home! We also discovered some lovely tomatoes growing, and even spotted that the cauliflower seeds we planted are beginning to grow. This was very exciting for the children as they could see the results of looking after and caring for their plants. 🌿

It has been a busy and fun-filled week, with lots of opportunities for learning through real-life experiences, creativity, role-play and exploring nature. We are so proud of how enthusiastically the children have joined in with everything!

We even had a gymnastics morning and learned how good our staff are.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to another exciting week ahead! πŸ’›

We have had a fun-filled week of exploring, learning and celebrating as we said goodbye to summer! 🌞

To celebrate the end of summer, we enjoyed our very own Australian-themed party. The children had lots of fun learning about Australia, its traditions and culture. We even got creative and made our very own surfboard! πŸ„β€β™€οΈπŸ„β€β™‚οΈ

We have also been enjoying the great outdoors, with a trip to the park where we had lots of fun playing football together. ⚽ We visited the Park Allotment and then headed to the weir, where we talked about how water flows. The children particularly enjoyed playing poo sticks from the bridge and watching them travel along with the moving water! 🌊🌿

Our learning has also taken us into the fascinating world of weather and seasonal change. We have been talking about the different types of weather we experience and noticing how the seasons are beginning to change. β›…πŸ‚

We were especially excited to learn about thunder and thunderstorms, and what a fantastic experience it was when we got to see a real thunderstorm! β›ˆοΈ The children were fascinated by the sights and sounds and enjoyed talking about what they could hear and see.

It has been a busy and exciting week full of curiosity, discovery and lots of outdoor adventures. We are so proud of how enthusiastically the children continue to explore and learn about the world around them. πŸ’›πŸŒ

Our Adventures This Week

We have had lots of fun and exciting experiences this week. The children enjoyed visiting our community allotment at the park, where they explored the beautiful displays and looked at the different vegetables growing. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about nature, growing food, and the world around them.

We had a great time at the town park, where the children enjoyed playing football, developing their physical skills and teamwork. They were also excited to spot and watch the squirrels in their natural environment.

As part of our transport topic, the children enjoyed a visit to the train station. They watched the trains arrive and depart, explored the station, and visited the ticket office. We also looked at buses in our local area and discussed bus stops and how people use different types of transport.

The children enjoyed a picnic at Bromley Park and had lots of fun spending time oujtdoors together. Back at the garden, the children helped to plant beetroot and Brussels sprouts, learning about how plants grow and how we can care for them.

It has been a fantastic week full of exploration, learning, and new experiences. The children have shown curiosity, confidence, and enthusiasm during all of our adventures.
