Excited to share that on Friday, I submitted the evidence required to become registered on the Gloucestershire Alternative Provision catalogue!!

Now is the waiting game for that email confirming that ‘Mentoring for You’ is an officially registered alternation provision service.

Things are looking on track for our services to be available to schools from September 2026! 🤞🏻

So, tonight I have made a start on ‘marketing material’ starting with a ‘quick glimpse of what we’re about’ info sheet.
As someone with a non existent imagination and lacking in creativity, I’m aware marketing is not where my strength lies, therefore, I’m calling on feedback from my followers!
So tell me, what are your first impressions when taking a look?

It’s a little while since I’ve been active on here, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes with getting set up so thought I’d say hi and share a little update 😊

A couple of weeks ago, I managed to pin down someone from Gloucestershire City Council to talk about what I need to do to become registered on their alternative provision catalogue, basically the call which would tell me if this dream was a realistic one, and the verdict… IT IS!!! 😁

Now, I am flat out busy preparing policies, marketing, forms, etc.. a long list of things with a very short deadline to be up and running before the next school year!!

So, for now, social media may be very quiet but be assured, Mentoring for You hasn’t gone anywhere, just exciting things happening in the background!!.. watch this space!!!

Join Gloucestershire Beyond 16 for their SEND event on 16 May, 10am–1pm.

This FREE event is designed especially for Year 10 and 11 students with SEND, along with parents and carers. It’s also open to anyone from Year 7 upwards who would like to explore future pathways.

Families will have the chance to meet local providers, colleges, training organisations and support services to help plan the next steps beyond Year 11.

To help make the event as comfortable as possible, smaller breakout spaces will be available for those who prefer a quieter environment.

It would seem that my brain doesn’t want to cooperate with the social media requirements of daily posts to stay relevant and seen!

Despite constant nagging to myself, posting may be a bit sporadic until I can figure out a strategy which works for consistency, any tips on achieving this with an AuDHD brain are welcome! 😂

I wanted to share this purchase from my visit to the National Neurodiversity Show last week!

As I started reading during the ‘school pick up wait’.. I noticed this reading game changer they have incorporated!!

As someone who enjoys reading and gaining new knowledge, but struggles to absorb what I’m reading off a page (yet stay optimistic that each time I buy a new book, that book will be the one that changes everything), I moved to audiobooks, which helps but still have to rewind too many times to re listen to what I missed whilst zoning out!

Having this option to listen to the audio alongside reading the physical book without needing a subscription of some sort.. Well, what a genius idea!!

Can’t feedback on the content just yet, but I already feel I’m onto a winner with this one!..
