We would like to say another HUGE thank you to Dan and the volunteer team from Edison Smart for working exceptionally hard today to improve our site.

Today's team spent the whole day emptying then demolishing a large rotten shed; painting the entrance hall; painting high visibility lines on steps; painting sheds, picnic benches and fencing; assembling outside furniture and sheds, and they totally filled two large skips!

We all enjoyed a great performance of the Secret Garden by M & M Productions on Friday and are already looking forward to them returning next year to perform the Railway Children.

We are very fortunate to have a school working party arranged for late July, kindly organised and supported by a parent-owned company, Edison Smart. Around 25 members of their staff will be volunteering their time on our site to complete a range of improvement projects. Their support will help us undertake many tasks that would otherwise be beyond our current budget, making a significant difference to our school environment and providing lasting benefits for all of our children.

We are therefore reaching out to ask whether any families, local businesses, or companies you work for may be able to support us.

Any support, no matter how small, would make a significant difference and help us create an even better environment for all of our children.

Many many thanks to Kate for all the plants she has donated to the school over the past few weeks, and for the time she has spent planting up our pots, hanging baskets and the quiet garden.
Our planters now look amazing and the school is looking very pretty.

This afternoon we held a Pop Up Plant sale, helped by Otis and Ivy, selling even more of Kate's donated plants. We raised an amazing £187.70 for the school. Thank you to everyone who came along and purchased plants.

Congratulations to all the children who represented our school at the Quadkids Athletics event on Saturday. They demonstrated fantastic teamwork and resilience throughout the day and were so supportive of one another. Many of the children were trying new events for the first time, but they rose to the challenge and approached everything with enthusiam.

The School Council have been working hard to come up with ways to improve the school and have decided that they would like to raise funds to buy a board games bench for the playground. This will be similar to the one in the picture and will cost circa £700.

To support our fundraising efforts, we will be holding a non-uniform day, prize draw, and sweet sale on Friday 22nd May.

To take part, we kindly ask for a minimum contribution of £1.50 per child for non-uniform. There is also an optional additional £1.50 for entry into the prize draw. There is no limit to the number of prize draw entries. Prizes will be three £10 book tokens.

Payments should be made in the usual way via the MCAS app under the Store section.

Sweets will be available for purchase in the playground at the end of the school day, priced at £1.50 per bag. Cash is preferred, but card payments will also be accepted.

The School Council greatly appreciates your support. If every child takes part, we are confident we can reach our target—an achievement that would make a meaningful difference for our children.

Well done to everybody who took part in the Easter Bonnet competition over the Easter break.

We had over 40 entries and the hats looked super.

Thank you to the School Association and Mr Ballard for organising the event.

All entries were of a very high standard. The judges favourites were by Carlo, Rori, Jackson, Max, Daisy, William, Toby, Pippa, Theo and Oliver.
