The last couple of weeks the children have been enjoying the warm weather with The Playhouse Childcare. They have been on nature walks exploring nature, and the world we live in, extending motor skills with construction play and water play, learning new language and sharing and taking turns . Developing their understanding of shapes and space, while continuing to expand their learning in all areas of their development.

At the moment we are learning all about "people who help us in the community " so this week we have been practicing our makaton signs for doctor and nurse. The children have done amazing .. next up is fireman, and vet.

Another amazing park we visited this week.

(I love the visual boards to help with inclusive play, using the images to express needs and emotions. And the sensory play panels are great for stimulating sounds, touch and sight.)

A lovely day today at Snowdrops Home Nursery .. lots of outdoor play, markmaking, problem solving, textures, numbers, nature play, boosting resilience and confidence.
