Huge thanks to krishofstadter for leading us in our latest DMLab Colchester session- Biofeedback Beats!
We learnt about his amazing work with brain computer music interfacing to enhance meditation, and used Supercollider and arduinos to control music using our pulse rates.

Making music with trees! 🌳
Last month on we visited Rendlesham forest with Broke Hall Primary as part of our Little Woodland Heights project for Contemporary Music for All. Across the day each student picked a tree, made a field recording and documented the trees branch structure and leaf structure to later turn into rhythms and melodies.
It was a wonderful day full of climbing trees, playing in the woods and listening to the beautiful forest soundscape.

UPCYCLED AND REMIXED 🧵🪡🔊
Huge thanks to everyone who came down to Pitsea Market to see and celebrate our interactive community tapestry.
Together with and the people of Pitsea, we created an installation is inspired by the market and made from recycled sounds and materials collected around it, which were then crafted and composed at community workshops across Pitsea.
The chains mimic the way market stallholders hang their clothes, made interactive with , and the distance sensors in the tapestry control ableton which warp and affect the soundscape (including an amazing rap about the market by young members).
Thank you to and the team at , to the Pitsea Voices for selecting our proposal, and to all the community members who joined in!
