At this months the next DMLab session, you will be able to try out a choice of audio software and share about your projects, tips and techniques with our friendly and inclusive group.

Suitable for all experience levels including beginners and experienced professionals. We hope everyone will come away with new ideas and perspectives.

We’re delighted to be collaborating with the Centre for Landscape Regeneration at the University of Cambridge on an exciting new project we're calling Fenland Conversations.

Through field recordings and conversations with the people who know the Fens best, we’re exploring not only the sounds of this remarkable landscape, but also how its history is embedded in its words, place names and stories. All for an exciting installation to be launched later this year.

Guitar stringing workshop! 🎸

Last month CLIP Frequency member Connor ran a workshop all about guitar restringing. He taught us about the different types of strings, how each guitar varies and general guitar maintenance too. Skill sharing sessions like these are a core part of CLIP, it's great to see our members sharing their experience and knowledge with each other.

Also, special shout out to - Connor won their guitar in the raffle at Meff Fest a few months back and used it to demonstrate at the workshop 🤩 Thanks to for donating the Meff Fest tickets to CLIP for our members to attend!

CLIP Summer Schedule ☀️

Our weekly sessions might be paused for summer, but theres plenty of chances to come and make some noise with us throughout August!

Colchester Carnival 2026! 🤩

This year we returned with our marching band of junk percussion, and a packed lineup of talented young musicians playing everything from drum and back to generative ambient piano.

Thank you to all our performers, our brilliant team who made the day run so smoothly and the festival organisers who put the brilliant event together.

This Saturday we have an exciting lineup of talented young musicians at Colchester Carnival!

Collaborating with our brilliant friends ArtizArt CIC and Project Lando to bring you the CLIP tent in lower Castle Park with performances running 12:00 PM-6:00 PM

We also have our CLIP Wave group walking and drumming in the parade at 12PM and Lawrence Langmead's Normality will be performing on the main stage at 6:00PM!
