The Textile Collective is an open, friendly and supportive space for skill sharing, empowering local people through traditional crafts.

The range of activities we are offering originally as Allinthemaking is now The Clothing Clinic Textile Collective. The Textile Collective is a community interest company which offers a skill sharing service to empower local people with traditional craft skills. From weaving and sewing to willow-work, we use recycled materials and materials from the natural environment to teach people new skills

It's thrilling to see the lockdown dress made by our wonderful Clothing Clinic community spring into life. The dress is showcased in Colchester on Sir Isaacs Walk next to Subway should you wish to see it in person, it really is quite stunning! Allinthemaking hasnt been inactive in the physical world but slumbering on Facebook.In November last year we displayed items in Abigails Drapery in Lewes.Penny and I made a lovely chenilled collar,bath mats and small bags in the chenilling technique.We have so much more news to tell you.We need a young enthusiastic facebook post person as I tend to show my age(60) in the aversion to it!!
