A massive congratulations to Lila and Bethany who have officially completed their Level 3 apprenticeships! They are both now Level 3 Practitioners!

Lila and Bethany have worked so hard over the last year, learning new skills, completing coursework, and demonstrating their passion for Early Years. We are so lucky to have them on our OBSSM team❤️

⚽To celebrate the start of the World Cup, staff and children have been wearing their football tops today! They have also been challenging their gross motor skills by kicking the balls around the garden to each other.⚽

🧡This week is "Battens Disease Awareness Week," a cause that is very dear to one of our members of staff. Yesterday, throughout the nursery, the children coloured in the logo of Holly the Princess Dinosaur using various orange mark-making tools like pens, pencils, and crayons. The children had a wonderful time observing and discussing the dinosaurs they could see.🧡

🧡Please help us spread awareness about Battens Disease because not many people hear about it until it touches their family. Batten Disease (CLN2) is a rare, life-limiting, life-shortening neurological condition that slowly steals a child's ability to walk, talk, eat, play, and eventually survive.🧡

🧡Have a look at, and follow the page Holly the dinosaur princess vs CLN2 Battens Disease, to find out more about Holly's Story.🧡

🌱🌞🌳Having a nursery in the countryside helps children develop a love of nature and being outdoors!
This week, the babies went on a walk, felt the grass and found some pinecones. All rooms planted sunflower seeds, we can't wait to watch them grow! Pre-school have been finding and looking closely at bugs during their Forest School sessions with Janet.🌳🌞🌱

🔆🌿🌷Welcome to a brand new month at nursery! 🌷🌿🔆
This April, our children will be learning about Spring and the natural changes that happen at this time of year.
Our babies will enjoy sensory experiences inspired by nature, our toddlers will begin exploring the world around them through simple investigations, and our pre-school children will be building their knowledge of seasonal changes.
We’re looking forward to spending lots of time outdoors, observing changes in our environment and following the children’s interests. 🔆🌿🌷

🚓🚨👮Special visitor!
Today we had a visit from PC Niall from the Hadleigh Police team. The pre-school children were very excited to meet him and try on the Police uniform. Before Niall left, we stood outside to watch the police lights on his car and listen to the sirens!👮🚨🚓
