We recently welcomed the police to our Preschool and Toddler room! 🚓👮‍♂️

The children learned about staying safe, tried on parts of the police uniform, and explored the police car and equipment. It was a fun and exciting learning experience for everyone!
We look forward to inviting more community services to visit in the future and hope to welcome the police back again soon so all children have the opportunity to take part. 💙

☀️ Summer Safety at Nursery ☀️

As the weather gets warmer, we are taking extra steps to help keep all children cool, comfortable, and safe throughout the day. This includes encouraging regular drinks of water, providing shaded outdoor play areas, applying sun safety practices, and planning activities to avoid the hottest parts of the day.

Please continue to support us by ensuring your child comes to nursery with suitable clothing and a sun hat. Thank you 💛

Happy Earth Day from Orchard Barns! 🌏

Today, we celebrated with the children by getting hands-on in eco-friendly fun activities across the nursery such as crafting with recycled materials, getting messy in the mud kitchen, creating Earth-themed crafts, and water play with animals.

We’ve been making the most of the warmer weather here at Orchard Barns! ☀️🌱

Recently, we’ve been transforming our garden into a space that truly reflects our eco-friendly ethos. The children have been getting involved in growing our own fruits and vegetables, and we can’t wait to enjoy the harvest together!
These experiences help to support the children’s understanding of the world around them, while encouraging them to care for and respect the environment. 🌍💚

We had a lovely time celebrating Mother’s Day at our recent Stay and Play session 💐

We welcomed the children’s mothers and special adults into the nursery to spend quality time together. The children loved sharing the afternoon, enjoying a range of activities including planting flowers, garden play, play dough, and much more 🌱

To finish, everyone came together for a lovely afternoon tea party themed buffet, filled with smiles, laughter, and delicious treats ☕ Thank you to everyone who joined us, this was a great opportunity to build stronger relationships with our families 💛
