The new year for parents and carers brings scary realisations that SATs, GCSEs times tables tests and other exams are on the way…!!
Don’t panic, though. These educational markers up to GCSEs are not for your child. They tell the government how well the education plan is (or is not) working.
Your child is doing their best and there is true pride in that alone!! 💕💕

I would so love to believe this… I’d love more that they would stop making education political. No 14 year old CARES what you’re doing - they just want a decent education that has NOTHING to do with political policy.

Well goodness me!! All of my GCSE students have done themselves proud!! Every single one of them achieved their expected or higher and all above a 4!!! I’m bursting with pride for you all, and cannot wait to hear of your future achievements! Well done all of you!! 🥰🥰

English exams are done, Maths exams are now complete. For some, just statistics to go!! Well done to all my students who’ve been under pressure and managed the GCSEs so well!! What will be will be!!
No rest for the wicked, however… my current year 9s and 10s are now ramping up for that time next year/ year after!! It’s never-ending!! 😆😆

I can’t even begin to describe the pride I feel when I hear from my year six students! You did it guys!!!! I’m so very proud of you!!! Now. You go enjoy year 6 leavers!!! X

Today is Sunday. Usually a day of rest. However, I’ve been visiting lots of students preparing for their first GCSE or their first SATs maths test tomorrow morning.
I do sometimes wonder about how the government offset the thoughts and feelings of the neurodiverse during this time. ‘One size fits all’ for 6 years of education just doesn’t seem right to me?
Anyway, I’ve left my students smiling and recognising that the effort they are putting in to these exams shows their worth. Not the result. I’m so very proud of every single one of them!
It’s okay, my lovelies. July will bring a deep breath and a move forwards!
