Reading non fiction text so that we could Identify leaves. ✅Collected leaves. ✅ Estimated the length of the leaves. ✅ Measured the leaves. ✅ Sorted the leaves. ✅ Calculated the difference between longest and shortest leaves. ✅ Calculated the mean leaf length. ✅ Who knew that a few leaves could turn into such a fun session?! ✅😍✅

You know you’ve been teaching a long time when your SATs reading booklet collection goes back to 1997! 🤯🙈🤣 It was interesting to compare the content, vocabulary and length of the different texts in today’s session 🧐🤩

I couldn’t have said it better myself!! Repeated subtraction does get exhausting….thank goodness for chunks!! Am loving the suggested new adjective😍“This method is chunk-a-mazing!”
