EYFS had a brilliant wheelchair basketball session with Nat and Jack. Some of us even managed to get the ball through the hoop.
Thank you very much to NP Inclusive Sport Nat who came in today to teach us wheelchair basketball and gave us a really inspirational assembly about never giving up!
What a busy day for Year 3/4 . We have also had a visit from Izzy and Lucy from Bechtel Cavendish. We spoke to a mechanical engineer and a design engineer to find out about their jobs. We talked about the 5P ‘s of business and then began writing to local businesses to support us.
We’ve been really active in Year 3/4 today! This afternoon we have been busy doing judo with Judoknight.
Today we were visited by Nat and his wheelchairs. We had a great time playing wheelchair basketball and shooting for hoops. Here are Year 3/4 having fun.
A huge well done to our very own Miley who has been chosen to be part of the Workington Reds team. She went over to Newcastle yesterday. Congratulations Miley we are all so proud of you! Watch this space, she'll be playing for England soon.

Stars of the week in year 1 and 2. Our reader has improved a lot in his reading recently and is working hard, our writer has written some beautiful sentences and worked hard on his work making sense and our star is always amazing but has worked extra hard this week on her handwriting and maths. Well done!
In Year 5/6 we had someone who asked amazing questions to our guest from United Utilities, someone who always reads at home and great writing about the Amazon. Congratulations
In Year 3/4 we had a writer smashing imperative verbs, a reader making fantastic progress in his Star Reader test and someone who went out of his way to make our new classmate welcome. Well done everyone

We all had a fun and spooky time at the Halloween disco yesterday! Everyone’s costumes were fantastic!
KS 1 and EYFS also learnt lots about water in their assembly this morning.
Today KS2 had a visit from United Utilities. We have learnt all about the importance of saving water and have lots of ideas how we can do this. We also know where our water comes from and is disposed of.

EYFS had their first PE session with Carl today from Reds in the Community. We had such good fun playing lots of new games.
Last night the staff received some training from Little Chatters as part of our Learning Through Landscapes. We planted bulbs and flowers, made seed bombs and bug hotels and even made some tree boogies. We came away with lots of ideas for improving the outdoor area.

Today we had a visit from Primary Puppets who taught us the importance of being respectful to others. We learnt lots of new songs and all about the Good Samaritan. Thank you for our visit.

In Year 5/6 there was an excellent prediction, fantastic group reading and someone who smashed exchanging in column subtraction. Well done everyone.
Well done to our Year 3/4 reader who has been quizzing well, our writer who did an excellent follow on chapter to our book and our Headteacher award winner who showed superb team spirit in cricket.
