Cann Hall Primary School

This week, a selection of our wonderful staff attended the Essex Teaching Awards as we were nominated in the 'Making a Difference' category. We were lucky enough to be highly commended in this category. A huge congratulations and well done to all our staff at Cann Hall for making a difference!

Year 4 had an amazing time stepping back in history as part of our Viking Day, linked to our current history topic. We were visited by a special guest who brought the Viking era to life with incredible artefacts, weapons and fascinating stories. It was wonderful to see so many children getting involved; dressed in fantastic costumes and proudly sharing the props they had created.

If you know any DJs who may be interested in helping us out, please tag them in the comments or ask them to contact us with their prices.

🏫 School Collection Arrangements
As usual, children may be collected from school at 2:00pm on this day.
If you are unable to collect your child at the earlier time, they will, of course, remain in school until the normal finish time of 3:10pm.
For safeguarding purposes, please inform your child’s class teacher in advance if:
• Your child will be collected by someone else
• You would like your child to leave independently
Without prior notification, staff will be unable to release children to alternative adults or allow them to leave alone.

We can’t wait to see you there for an afternoon of fun, games, food, and community spirit! ☀️

Our Super Man pop up shop is happening TOMORROW, Monday 15th June. Please send children with no more than £5 in a named envelope. It is really helpful if siblings can bring their money separeatly as they visit the shop at different times.🦸🏽‍♂️🦸🏼

To share in the excitement of the FIFA World Cup, children in 1B have all picked a team in a class sweepstake! They had fun designing kits for their chosen teams, using the national flags as inspiration. 🌏⚽🏆🇲🇽 🇨🇦 🇺🇸

Starting Wednesday 10th June,
Year 6 parents will be selling ice lollies
after school every Wednesday and Friday
to raise money for the Year 6 leavers’ party.

On Fridays, there will also be:
🍬 Guess the number of sweets in the jar
🧸 Guess the name of the teddy

This will be held on the playground,
weather permitting.

From tomorrow (10.6), Y6 parents will be selling ice pops after school to raise money for the Year 6 Leaver's Party every Wednesday and Friday. On Fridays, there will also be a Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar and Guess the Name of the Teddy competition to enter as well!
