So Influenster sent me Neutrogena® UK & Ireland ‘s ultra sheer invisible hydration fluid with SPF50 to try for free a month back and I have been using it every day as in the sun I end up with my hyperpigmentation getting worse in the lovely weather we have and also to try and combat that lovely aging thing that happens after 18 😂 and I have been quite impressed. The last photo is yesterday with no filter but just my Mac foundation and a decent light/angle to see how invisible it is on camera. It definitely passes the white glare test and shows what a month’s use can do to protect from further sun damage.

There are some people who quietly become part of your life without you even realising just how much they’ve come to mean. Vee is one of those people. 💚

Today I had the absolute honour of watching Vee receive an Essex County Council Youth Service Achievement Award, having been nominated by Paul and James from Essex Youth Service for everything they have contributed through Pens & Dragons.

It couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person.

I’ve been lucky enough to know Vee for around three years through Pens & Dragons Pens and Dragons CIC , where they’ve been an incredible Dungeon Master, mentor and friend to so many young people. Over the past year they’ve also become my right-hand person at Creative Sparks - helping with sessions, supporting learners, keeping me organised (which is no small task!), and always stepping up whenever I’ve needed them.

They’ve been involved in everything from helping deliver our Bronze Arts Award to supporting workshops, encouraging young people to find confidence in themselves, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, valued and able to be themselves.

Their kindness, patience, creativity and quiet leadership never seek the spotlight, yet they make an enormous difference to everyone around them.

I genuinely believe Vee has all the qualities needed to become an exceptional youth worker and mentor in the future. They have a natural ability to connect with people, to encourage without judging and to make others feel safe enough to grow.

It meant so much to be there alongside Logan, MJ from Pens & Dragons and Ash (who many of you know from Saturday Sparks), all cheering Vee on as they received such well-deserved recognition.

Sometimes awards recognise what many of us have known for a long time.

Vee, I hope you know just how proud we all are of you.

Keep being exactly who you are. The difference you make to young people’s lives is already incredible, (to all our lives actually) and I honestly believe this is just the beginning.

Congratulations. You absolutely earned every second of today. 💚✨

So I was sent this Batise dry shampoo to try out from Influenster for free and I was a bit dubious about using this at first because I thought I would need to be careful around the lighter parts of my hair, but I shouldn’t have worried, it has a precision nozzle!

This is not only going to be my saviour when I have a crash day/week and need to freshen my hair without spending my limited spoons on washing it, the black pigment also helps to cover my roots when they grow through and makes my hair look thicker. I’m sold!

They do the same for blondes and brunettes!! No more white roots or lots of brushing.

Having been out with friends and doing other bits in the rare sunshine this weekend, my skin was feeling quite hot and dehydrated so I used the aftersun I was sen to try and it worked nicely. My skin is feeling cooler and hydrated, it’s not been too greasy and absorbed quickly so I can imagine how well it will work later in the summer and I have definitely converted from my well loved previous brand.

With the little bit of sun we have had over the last few days despite the breeze it has been warm enough to walk along the seafront with friends and sit outside their beach hut meaning I caught the sun and ended up with a bit a of pink arm so the aloe gel and helped to take the heat out. Cooling and soothing quite quickly. Don’t ask how the underside was the worse!!

Today’s work place was the amazing Beth Chatto Gardens where Lottie from Creative Mindfulness joined myself and my partner in crime Charlotte from Booth's Education Services and Tutoring - BEST for our first taster - Teen Photography Workshop… we learnt so much as you can see from my own photos here and one student has even managed to close off her skill share for her Bronze Arts Award!

Watch this space as we will definitely been collaborating and offering more… and I will also be using these for Georgia O’Keeffe and Monet workshops…if your interested send me a message.
