7 years of Eco-Able!! An idea sparked from a conversation about plastic free July and a name decided on journeying to Edinburgh Fringe which coincidentally is where I’m on my way to today. 7 years of hard work, creating opportunities and adapting and evolving. I’m so proud of all I’ve built so far and as I move into a focus on my children’s books, I’m really excited to see where I’ll be in another 7 years time! Happy Birthday Eco-Able, a sustainable brand to be proud of.
Thank you to all of you who have supported me so far and I hope you’ll love seeing what comes next ❤️

A simply beautiful review of our book ‘Mine’ - a picture book full of fun and cheeky characters! I wrote this book about the preschool children I used to teach - each character written with them in mind. Sharing was often a really difficult concept for the little ones to understand especially in a busy preschool setting. It’s a topic that came up almost daily so writing a book about it to help children understand the different ways in which we can share (and acknowledging sometimes we don’t want to share!) was a book I had to write! Thank you to Raydene for this lovely review - we’re so glad you love the book and can’t wait to hear what your classes think of it! You’re so right when you say picture books aren’t just for little ones 🐿️

Happy book birthday to ‘Away’ which I published 5 years ago today! It’s the book which made me an author and it has a special place in my heart. It’s dedicated to my lovely Mum Mary because she always believed in me and I self published it so that she could see it before she died. Sustainably made and environmentally themed I wondered if it would still be relevant years later but it feels like it’s more relevant than ever. Plastic pollution is still a big issue and one which we need to keep talking about and raising awareness of if we’re going to solve it. And can we normalise celebrating longevity in books, because this is much more sustainable than focusing on new releases. Happy birthday ‘Away’ you changed my life, made me an author and helped me find my purpose. It makes me beyond happy knowing that children are still reading and loving this book and our woodland characters 🦌 🦡 🦉 🐿️ 🐰 🐝 🦋 🐭

I wrote ‘Oceans Away’ because I love the ocean and felt passionate about the waste we leave to pollute and damage it. I’m obsessed with seals 🦭 and have loved them since I was a child and I’m fascinated by all ocean creatures. I wanted to create that love in others and hoped that by writing this book, so beautifully illustrated by Anna, that we could show how beautiful our oceans are and how much we need to take care of them for us all. There’s so much love for this book and it’s a favourite in our book gifting boxes, especially our baby boxes 🎁 I hope it’s loved and read forever 🌊

I hear it but I’m not listening 😂 Anyone else just want to create? I know it’s sensible but I really just want to write and create books, apparently I also have to sell them 🤷🏼‍♀️

3 years ago today we held your hand as you took your last breath. Losing a sibling is unlike anything I’ve experienced in life and seeing you suffer will stay with me forever. Hearing the words Glioblastoma brain tumour was devasting for so many reasons, not least because we’d heard those words 2 years before and watched our Mum deal with this cruelest brain tumour. It’s ironically and I want to highlight the work that the following organisations and individuals do to raise awareness, push for new research and treatments and h**p patients and families feel less alone:
Brain Tumour Research
Brain Cancer Justice
brainstrust
Brain Tumour Support
The Brain Tumour Charity
Tessa Jowell Foundation
The Evie Dove Foundation
Dylan Strong Foundation
Nicola Nuttall
Gracie Nuttall
