Bus trips, a cafe for dinner, a play at the park and ducks… what a fantastic morning 🥰

When asked what we should do this morning, one of our children in pre-school said “we should go on the bus!” so that is exactly what we did 🚌
Our morning started by walking up to Astley Park where everyone was fascinated by the swans and ducks! We played a game of count the ducks and then sung the ‘Three little ducks’ song 🦆
After counting ducks and watching the waterfall we went to the cafe ready for our picnic dinner together 🍎 It was lovely to sit and enjoy our dinner outside.
Continuing the fun we spent the rest of the morning playing in the fields and on the play area before walking to our nearest bus stop.
We looked at the Bus timetable and routes and discussed which bus we needed to get back to nursery and waited patiently for it to arrive. Once on the bus, we paid for our tickets and took a seat. We all absolutely loved being on the bus and can’t wait for another trip out 🥰🤍

All of our classrooms are really enjoying learning about seasonal changes this week as we explore Spring and Summer.
Our babies in Snails have enjoyed a walk around Astley Park where they collected lots of different natural materials which they used to make spring picture’s and sensory trays with.
Our Frogs and Hedgehogs have explored different environments within our local area and have replicated this in their play.
Our children in Owls are focusing their learning towards ‘birds’ this week! So far our Owls have been out on a bird scavenger hunt and made their own birds nests using sticks! 🌸🍃🌿
