Today, our children took part in a challenging cricket tournament at Brinscall and represented the school brilliantly throughout the day. After winning our pool, we progressed to the final match to compete for 1st place overall.

We faced a very strong team from Lancaster Lane Primary School in a highly competitive and exciting final. Despite a fantastic effort from all of our players, we finished as runners-up, securing an impressive 2nd place overall.

The children demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, and they should be extremely proud of their achievement. Well done to everyone involved! 🏏👏

A huge thank you to all of our parents, families, governors and parishioners who joined us today for our St Joseph’s Mission Day.

Our mission at St Joseph’s is:

“St. Joseph’s family learn together, with love and faith in Jesus, to become the people God calls us to be.” 🌍 ♻️ ❤️

Today was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our school mission, reflect on how we have lived it out over the past year and renew our commitment to it for the year ahead. Through a range of activities across school, children and families explored the meaning of our mission and the many ways it is evident in our daily lives.

At St Joseph’s, we strive to live out our mission in all we do, every day. It was a special chance to revisit, renew and reflect on our shared mission as one wider school family, bringing together children, staff, families, governors and parishioners in faith, fellowship and celebration.

What a fantastic afternoon at Quad Kids! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We had an amazing time competing against some very strong schools and couldn't be prouder of our children.

Our Year 3/4 team finished an impressive 5th place out of 14 schools.
Our Year 5/6 team achieved a fantastic 3rd place finish.

To top it all off, two of our girls secured individual 2nd and 3rd place medals, an incredible achievement!

The determination, sportsmanship, and teamwork shown by every child was outstanding. They represented our school brilliantly and should all be very proud of themselves.

Well done, everyone, you were amazing! 🏅

Our pupils have been out once again on a community litter pick, helping to care for our local area and putting their faith into action 🍃 ✝️

As part of our commitment to Catholic Social Teaching, we recognise our responsibility as stewards of God's creation. By taking practical steps to keep our community clean and protect the environment, our children are living out the principles of caring for creation and working for the common good.

Small local actions can make a big difference. Through activities like this, our pupils are learning how to live sustainably, show respect for their neighbourhood and make a positive contribution to the world around them.

Sports Stars Academy Success!

A huge congratulations to these outstanding pupils, who have performed at the very highest level and earned a place in the prestigious Sports Stars Academy.

The children took part in a demanding assessment process designed to identify exceptional sporting talent across Chorley. Throughout a series of challenging activities, they demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination, focus and skill. Their hard work, positive attitude and commitment enabled them to overcome every challenge and truly stand out.

Pupils from schools across Chorley were assessed, with only the top 40 children selected to attend the Sports Stars Academy programme. We are incredibly proud that our pupils have secured 12.5% of all available places, an outstanding achievement for a school of our size.

This success is a testament not only to their sporting ability but also to their perseverance, character and dedication. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them and look forward to seeing all they achieve during their time at the Academy.

Well done, superstars!
