As we begin the new academic year, I’m excited to share more about the specialist assessment, teaching and support I can offer to children, families and schools across Lancashire and the North West.
🏫 Schools — this is an exciting time to think about how specialist expertise could support your SEND provision.
The Government’s Experts at Hand initiative is being rolled out across England, bringing specialist expertise directly into mainstream schools and settings. Importantly, Specialist Teachers are one of the key professionals included within this new approach.
The initiative is designed to help schools identify needs earlier, strengthen staff confidence and provide practical support within everyday learning environments. Specialist teachers can bring expertise through assessment, intervention planning, modelling, coaching and practical strategies to support inclusive teaching.
As a Specialist Teacher in SpLD (Dyslexia), this is an area I am passionate about.
