Dear Friends,
I hope you all had a good summer and are getting back to your regular routines. Thank you for all your support over the long lockdown periods.
We celebrate the mid-Autumn Festival on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar and this year it falls on Tuesday 21st September. It's a time for family reunions and eating mooncakes under the full moon.
We will be making steamed buns (bao) this week for collection on Thursday 16th Sept. Two fillings will be available, chicken or carrot with egg, 3 for £5 or 7 for £10. We will make more next week depending on demand.
We will also have a limited number of home made mooncakes available at £3 each or two for £5. They are with date and walnut filling or red bean filling (shown in photo). No preservatives, animal fat or artificial colourings used, and they are not as sweet as those in the shops, so a much healthier (and less costly) version! Please try a free sample when you come over!
Look forward to hearing from you! Jet
