✨ Weekly Round-Up at Preschool ✨
What a fun, creative and action-packed week we’ve had in preschool!
🏆⚽ Our World Cup-themed tuff tray sparked lots of excitement as the children created their own football matches using small-world figures. We talked about teams from around the world and shared who we’ll be watching the games with at home – from parents and siblings to grandparents and friends. Come on England!!! ❤️🙌
📚🥕🫛 We also became helpers for SuperTato! The children worked hard counting peas in our themed tuff tray, using tweezers to develop fine motor skills while practising counting, number recognition and one-to-one correspondence. We also explored healthy eating and talked about the importance of fruit and vegetables for our bodies. 💚
🍌👀 Our creativity continued with our Banana Men activity! The children designed and decorated their own banana characters, exploring fruits and vegetables while using descriptive language and celebrating how unique each creation was – every Banana Man had its own personality!
🎸💙 Father’s Day celebrations were full of love as the children created handprint guitar cards and decorated them with musical notes. A special way to celebrate all our amazing dads and father figures – we think you truly rock! ❤️
🐌🌿 During Mini Beast Week, we explored snails and created beautiful snail crafts using paper plates, paint and imagination. We learned about where snails live and the patterns on their shells while developing fine motor skills and curiosity about the natural world.
☀️🍦 We also made the most of the sunshine with a special treat day! The children enjoyed ice lollies, watermelon and milkshakes – lots of smiles, laughter and sticky fingers all round!
🧚✨ And finally, magic filled the classroom for National Fairy Day! The children explored Fairy Land, following paths, visiting fairy homes and creating imaginative stories together. A beautiful reminder of how powerful imagination and play can be.
