Hi 👋 we are moving out of our lovely East London flat, and we’re looking for good people to move in and enjoy it for 1 year minimum. It’s a 2 bed 2 bathroom (one ensuite), super spacious and comes fully furnished. Move in date in October or November (we can be flexible). Location is Lea Bridge Road, opposite the marshes, close to upper Clapton, and with tonnes of nature walks in the Lea valley on the doorstep. DM me for more info and we can chat/arrange a viewing. Notting Hill carnival done a little differently this year. Finlay’s first carnival, cousin love, crew love, and pure joy as always. Beyond healing for this postpartum body to shake it off and have a dance in the streets 💃 Carnival is forever London at its best. Unity, joy, happiness 💯 🫶💚💛❤️👶 ✨

Celebrating my first Mother’s Day with our beautiful baby boy Finlay-Rae 💚

Becoming a mother has been a huge initiation and stirs up so much — including the grief of not having my own mum here. The need to be mothered yourself in these early postpartum weeks runs deep. But getting to celebrate this day holding my own little boy brought so much healing 💚

Finlay-Rae is a Gaelic name meaning gracious fair warrior, honouring my Irish roots and Louie’s Scottish ones — and he really did arrive in the world like a little warrior 🌍

Getting to spend the day our way, on a little wander around Mexico City with our tiny new sidekick, made it even better 💚

Always holding in my heart everyone who found Mother’s Day extra hard this year ❤️‍🩹

A few from my blessing way back in December 🌟 a day of being so deeply held by this circle of women 🥰🥹😍

So grateful for the love, care, and support as I step into this next chapter of birth and motherhood. And for those who couldn’t be there in person but still found ways to weave their magic into the day 💫

After this day, the move to Mexico felt even more tender. There were lots of tears, and I so bloody wish could teleport these women to visit me in Oaxaca.

I’m so grateful for friendships woven with so much intention and love — some for over 20 years, some much more recent and all equally special.

Being held like this reminds me that this rite of passage is meant to be witnessed and celebrated. My prayer is for all women on this journey to feel the care and intention of being supported in this way by their community, to feel less alone and isolated in such a huge period of change ❤️
