We all belong.
One of the lovely things about being a small school is that our children don't just belong to a class or a year group – they belong to a whole school community.
At Luckington, everybody really does know everybody. Our small classes mean that staff know children well and can tailor learning and support to individual needs. Children build relationships across year groups too: reading together as buddies, sitting in mixed-age groups at lunchtime and learning to look out for and help one another.
We also want every child to know that their voice matters. Every pupil belongs to one of our three councils – School Council, Playground Council or Eco Council – so contributing ideas and helping to shape their school isn't something reserved for just a handful of children.
There is something very special about watching a younger child arrive and settle into a community where the older children already know their name – and then, a few years later, seeing them become the older child who looks out for someone else.
Small classes. Strong relationships. A place to belong.

Wow, this looks an excellent opportunity for us to extend our pupils. Such a fantastic enrichment to have Centred Drama working with our pupils.

All of the staff at Luckington would like to extend our sincere thanks for the thoughtful gifts we have received. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated, although never expected.

To our wonderful Year 6 pupils, we wish you every success and happiness as you begin your exciting journey to secondary school. We are incredibly proud of you all, and you will be greatly missed.

We look forward to welcoming everyone else back on Wednesday 2nd September. Until then, have a fantastic, relaxing, and well-deserved summer break! ☀️
