All of the staff at Luckington would like to extend our sincere thanks for the thoughtful gifts we have received. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated, although never expected.

To our wonderful Year 6 pupils, we wish you every success and happiness as you begin your exciting journey to secondary school. We are incredibly proud of you all, and you will be greatly missed.

We look forward to welcoming everyone else back on Wednesday 2nd September. Until then, have a fantastic, relaxing, and well-deserved summer break! ☀️

Looking for a primary school place for September?

Luckington Community School has a small number of places available across several year groups.

After months of preparation and anticipation we planted our wheelbarrow and delivered it to the RHS show in Badminton. The pupils chose the theme of farming to fit in with the 'Live, Love, Local' theme chosen by the RHS. They felt this reflected our local area and community. We chose plants that would be typical of our farming community such as Spring Barley, Cornflowers and Sunflowers, as well as carrots, radishes, Nasturtiums as edible plants. We also included Marigolds as a form of pest control. All of our plants had been grown from seed by our Gardening Club and props such as a barn and scarecrows were made during Forest School sessions.
We were able to take a lucky group of six members of our gardening club to the show to see our completed wheelbarrow on site. We also spent time looking at all the other lovely wheelbarrow and allotment gardens as well as popping into the family area, adding a leaf to the Brambly Hedge tree and making pine cone bees with Learning With Nature!
We hope you'll all be able to go up to RHS Badminton to see the lovely gardens but we will also bring the wheelbarrow back to school next week and have it on display in our front garden.

We had the perfect weather for our annual Sports day on the field in Luckington. The children all took part in a variety of races including, sprint, ball and spoon, skipping, bean bag on the head, obstacle and relay. They all tried their hardest and worked well together to represent their colour teams. Red team were the winning team this year. We all enjoyed an ice lolly at the end. Thank you to all our supporters who came to watch and to FOLs for providing the ice lollies. 🏆
