Does your child struggle with organisation and memory?

Visual timetables are an excellent adjustment often used in schools, but these work really well at home too.

Learners with dyslexia often struggle with their sense of time. Collaborating with your child on a visual timetable could be a great way to start the new school year and iron out any worries or uncertainties they may have about the new school year.

✅Getting a diagnosis opens the door to understanding, however it's just the beginning of a journey. I offer ongoing expert dyslexia support to all my clients, so they are reassured of support during transitions, exams or at any other time in the future.

✴ If you are a parent, student or teacher, I also offer support online throughout the year.

Does your family love audio guides when visiting museums / historic places? My family certainly does!

They’re such a brilliant, dyslexia friendly, accessible tool. Yesterday we were in Nîmes visiting the amphitheatre, impressive! The audio guide was invaluable for us all.

If your child has a thirst for information but avoids reading, audio books & podcasts are a great way to develop their knowledge.

Whilst away I have enjoyed these podcasts: Dan Snow’s history hit, Parenting dyslexia and the News Agents
