Come and see the plans for our new school building!

We’re really excited to invite our families and the wider Sidlesham community into school to see the proposed designs for our new school building.

⏰ 3pm–7pm
📍 Sidlesham Primary School Hall

Drop in at any time to have a look at the plans, chat to the project team, ask questions and share your thoughts. There’s no need to book.

This is such an exciting next step for our school and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible! 💙

Please feel free to share with friends, neighbours and others in our local community.

📣 Could you be one of our new Parent Governors?

We have three Parent Governor vacancies at Sidlesham Primary School. Three sounds rather dramatic, but thankfully they’re all for very positive reasons! Our outgoing governors’ children have either moved on to secondary school, or they have now joined our staff team. We are hugely grateful for everything they have contributed and we’re pretty sure they’d have stayed if they could! 💙

This is a really exciting time to get involved with Sidlesham and help shape the next chapter for our school.

You don’t need to work in education and you don’t need any previous governor experience. We’re looking for parents and carers who care about our school, are willing to ask questions, bring their own ideas and perspectives, and want to help us continue doing the very best for our children.

We’ll be emailing all families tomorrow with full information about the role and how to apply.

📅 Nominations close Friday 9th October.

And if you’re even slightly tempted but want to know a bit more first, please come and have a chat with Mrs Koiston. We’d love to hear from you! 💙

✨ Could this be the start of your child’s Sidlesham journey? ✨

Our new Reception children have had such a lovely start to life at Sidlesham 💙

They’ve been busy exploring, playing, making friends and discovering that school is a pretty exciting place to be!

If your child is due to start school in September 2027, we’d love you to come and see Sidlesham for yourself. Come and meet us, have a look around our school and EYFS environment, and find out what makes our small school such a special place to learn and grow.

A morning in Acorn Class

Our Reception children have been busy settling into school, exploring their new environment and beginning to build friendships and relationships with the adults who care for them.

At Sidlesham, we want children’s first experience of school to feel happy, safe and nurturing. Through purposeful play, conversation and carefully planned teaching, children begin building strong foundations in communication, phonics, reading and maths - while developing their confidence and independence.

If your child is due to start school in September 2027, come and see Reception and the rest of Sidlesham in action at one of our Open Mornings.

Our first Open Morning is Wednesday 16 September, 9:00–10:30am.
