A really special evening last night celebrating our Year 6 leavers and their parents. Fiercely competitive rounders matches (the parents were definitely trying very hard), delicious food thanks to our catering team, an outstanding Miss West quiz, a bit of dancing (including Mr Eddy showcasing his moves) and, of course, a Swiftie moment for Mr Pickett. We are so proud of our Year 6 pupils. Some of them have been with us for a very long time and others not as long but each and every one has made a meaningful impact on life at Oakwood.

Wonderful to invite lots of our local friends to join us for our community tea in the marquee this afternoon. Well done to Year 6 for doing such a great job serving them and well done to our Pre-Prep for lovely singing.

The last Friday Assembly of the academic year was a winner! A big well done to our Nursery and Kindergarten children who delighted us all (and well done to Miss Reed who was in fine voice this morning). Our pre-school children are such an important part of our school and it was wonderful to see them on stage supported by their Pre-Prep and Year 6 friends as well as their parents. As Kindy said in their poem, watch out Reception - here we come!
