Last spots remaining!

A reminder that our Basketball club for Boys and Girls in years 3-6 will be starting Afterschool on tomorrow, Friday 4th September (3.20-4.20pm) and will finish on 23rd October (7 sessions in total). Sessions will be based at on the playground and will involve learning all of the basic skills and rules of the game along with plenty of fun. The cost for the 8 sessions is £50.00. Details to book spots have been recirculated via email to parents.

We have received this photograph thanking our children for their support in helping Christian Life Primary School to buy a solar panel. This was achieved by our pupils wearing orange and yellow - sun colours - to school on the day of our joint worship with Uganda. We raised almost £400, which will enable the Christian Life Primary School to charge their Ipad. This will also enable us to communicate with them in school!

Today Hedgehog Class went on their last school trip of the academic year. They visited the SS Great Britain as part of their top work ‘Brunel’.

The children enjoyed a workshop led by the education team, discussing where the ship travelled, who it took and what they did on board. They also had time to play with toys and artifacts from the past. They then had lots of time to explore the ship, talk to actors/ volunteers and look around the museums, one which only opened today!

The public and adults who work at the ship were amazed by the children’s knowledge, curious questions and impeccable behaviour. The children had an amazing day with lots of children saying their favourite part was everything!

A huge thank you to the staff and parents who made the trip possible and so much fun!

🎉 Congratulations to Kingston Team (Green Team)! 🎉

A huge well done to Kingston Team, who have been crowned our overall House Champions for this academic year!

Throughout the year, the children have worked incredibly hard to earn House Points by demonstrating our school values, showing kindness, working hard and always trying their very best.

To celebrate their achievement, the winning team enjoyed a special afternoon tea party with Mr Hewett – a lovely opportunity to celebrate together with plenty of delicious treats!

Congratulations once again to everyone in Kingston House. We wonder which House will lift the trophy next year… 🏆

As another school year draws to a close, we would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Year 6 pupils and their families for their incredibly thoughtful leaving gifts.

Yesterday, we were delighted to have a beautiful new planter installed, which will be enjoyed by our whole school community for many years to come. We also received a fantastic wildlife camera, which will help our children explore and learn even more about the wildlife around our school grounds. Thank you for your generosity and kindness – these gifts will leave a lasting legacy.

We would also like to wish all of our Year 6 pupils every success and happiness as they embark on the next stage of their education. We are so proud of each and every one of you and know that you will go on to achieve great things.

We will say our official goodbye to Year 6 during our Leavers' Service in church tomorrow morning. We would be delighted to welcome Year 6 parents to join us for the service, which begins at 9.30am, before returning to school afterwards for refreshments and the opportunity to celebrate together.

Our Year 6 pupils leave us on a real high following their fantastic SATs results last week. We are incredibly proud that the children achieved above the national 'expected' standard in all subjects – a wonderful reflection of their hard work, determination and resilience throughout their time at Chew Stoke Church School.

Well done, Year 6 – we are so proud of you all, and we wish you every success for the future!
