Our Automotive team are delighted to welcome this brand new sporty electric number to their ranks courtesy of Stoneacre. A great addition to the expanding EV knowledge students are already learning, gaining the skills they need for current and future careers in the automotive industry.

Our Level 1 Award in Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Awareness 1 day course is running again on 27 January 2022.
This course is for non-technical employees in environments where they come into contact with Hybrid vehicles.
Modules will include:
- The types of Electric/ Hybrid vehicles available
- Hazards associated with motor vehicle high energy electrical systems
- Working safely around Electric/ Hybrid vehicles including charging
We can also offer this course in the evening for those who prefer to undertake training outside of work hours. Evening courses are scheduled depending on demand.

Our Basic Vehicle Electrical Skills Course is aimed at Technicians in the automotive industry to help upskill them with basic electrical knowledge. The course can be run over 2 days or 3 nights dependent on demand and is held at our purpose-built automotive training centre on Wharf Lane, just down the road from our Infirmary Road campus.

Our Level 2 Award in MOT Testing is Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) approved. The qualification covers safe working practices and working relationships in vehicle testing centres, managing your own professional development, carrying out pre-checks and carrying out a full vehicle test.
