This week Jon from SciHigh came to deliver a simulated crime scene to our Y12 & Y13 BTEC Forensic students.

Students were required to secure the scene, collect evidence, analyse the evidence and present it in a mock court. Lots of evidence was collected, including blood spatter, fingerprints and ballistics, resulting in two suspects being convicted of the crime!🫆

A great time was had by all the students, who learnt a lot about the collection and processing of evidence from a crime scene. 🚨

💜 📚 Back for its second year, Poetry by Heart is returning to Outwood Academy Newbold! Students and staff across the school will memorise a set poem and perform a chosen favorite in front of their class. Winners will advance to the Grand Final — stay tuned for the official date! 📅

The evening will provide valuable information and guidance on:
