💜 We had such a great time celebrating with our P16 students last week that we’re going to do it all over again with Y11 tomorrow! 💜

💜 🧬 Congratulations to all of our Y7 and Y8 students who have been successful in gaining a “Science Masters” honours badge. Over 84% of our Y7 students, and 71% of our Y8 students gained an honours badge which is a fantastic achievement.
We were also able to award 5 of our Y7 students with the top “Jedi” prize - this puts these students in the top 100 students across the Trust and is an amazing feat!
Congratulations to all our recipients! 🧪 💜

💜 Staff have completed a year-long programme with the Open University, developing our school's culture of reading for pleasure. We have created more spaces around the school for students to read during their social times; taken part in virtual author visits and celebrated reading for pleasure through displays, library loyalty cards and a whole school read on World Book Day. Alongside our English curriculum and Outwood Reads in Personal Development sessions, we are proud of the focus that we put on this important aspect of our students' lives.

From September, watch out for updates on how parents and carers can support children with reading for pleasure at home. 📚 💜

💜 Students who have achieved E1s at least once on their Praising Stars reports have been invited to celebrate how awesome they are! They are having a fantastic time with an inflatable obstacle course, sweets, mocktails, face painting and games! We are so very proud of them and they deserve this treat.💜

💜Groups in good spirits for final day this morning. All will be finished by 12:30. They’ve done so well!!💜

💜 Gold DofE students have had another brilliant day today. We are so proud of their progress. They may not look so happy in one of the pictures, but I promise you they are safe, happy and well.💜

💜🥾 Students have done really well on their second day of their gold DofE. Even with the warm weather students have been awesome! They are all safe at camp enjoying the football ⚽️ 💜

🏏 In collaboration with the Joe Root Academy, some of our students took part in their very first hardball cricket match at Cutthorpe Cricket Club last Friday.

The students had a fantastic experience, developing their skills through fun, inclusive coaching and enjoying the opportunity to put everything they had learned into practice in a real match environment.

A huge well done to all of the students for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and excellent effort throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of you all! 👏🏏
