🎭✨ CONFIDENCE LEVEL: 100%! ✨🎭

Our Stage Stars have learnt the words for their Class Presentation performance… and they are already singing their hearts out! 🎶💛

Choreography is still to come, but judging by this, we think we’ve got a pretty confident bunch on our hands! 😍

🩰 A VERY SPECIAL MILESTONE… THEIR FIRST PAIR OF POINTE SHOES! 🩰✨

An exciting day for a group of our dancers as they headed to .dancewear for their very first pointe shoe fittings! 💛

Getting your first pair of pointe shoes is such a special moment in a dancer’s journey and one that takes time, preparation, strength and dedication to reach.

It was lovely watching the girls have their feet carefully assessed, try different shoes and discover which pair was the perfect fit for them. 🩰✨

We’re so proud of how hard these dancers have worked to reach this stage. This is just the beginning of a whole new chapter in their ballet journey, and we can’t wait to see where it takes them! 🥰

A huge thank you to Tutu Dancewear for looking after our dancers and making such an important experience so special. 💛

Here’s to new beginnings, new challenges and lots of pointe adventures ahead! 🩰✨

✨ NEW AT STUDIO J: AERIAL HAMMOCK ✨

I told you I had a new toy for our Acro classes! 😊

Our dancers have been getting to grips with this brand-new skill, combining strength, flexibility, balance and creativity as they learn to move, pose and perform in the hammock.

And just look at this pose! 😍✨

Aerial work is such a fun way to build confidence and body awareness while learning something completely different from traditional dance. Whether they're mastering a new trick, finding their balance or simply having a go, we love seeing our dancers challenge themselves and discover what they're capable of.

💛 What can your child gain from just 6 weeks of dance?

Six weeks might not sound like a long time… but so much can happen in those first few weeks! ✨

When a child starts dance, we’re not just teaching them steps. We’re helping them grow in ways that go far beyond the dance floor.

In their first 6 weeks, they can begin to develop:

✨ Confidence – walking into a new class, trying something unfamiliar and discovering, “I can do this!”

🤝 Friendships – meeting new people, working with others and beginning to feel like they belong.

🎶 Musicality & coordination – learning to move their body in time with music and developing control.

💪 Strength & physical skills – building balance, flexibility, stamina and body awareness.

🧠 Focus & independence – listening, remembering choreography, following instructions and having a go without Mum or Dad beside them.

🌟 Resilience – learning that it’s okay if they don’t get something straight away. Keep trying, keep practising and celebrate the little wins.

🥰 A sense of belonging – becoming part of a team where they are known, encouraged and celebrated for who they are.

And perhaps most importantly…

They start to discover what they are capable of. 💛

Because dance isn't just about becoming a better dancer.

It's about becoming a more confident, resilient, independent and happy little person.

And that's why we love what we do. 🌸

🎭 Class Presentation Week – 12th–19th October! 🌟

All family members are invited to sit in and watch the whole class, during which our students will perform a dance in small groups. Every student who takes part will receive an award! 🏆

We do this every year to help our dancers develop their performance skills, confidence and ability to perform in front of an audience, while also giving them a huge sense of achievement.

And don’t worry, there are no marks, scores or pressure! It’s all about having fun, celebrating their progress and giving them something to be proud of. 💛

Our award journey starts with a rosette in your first year, followed by:
🥉 Bronze Medal
🥈 Silver Medal
🥇 Gold Medal
🏆 Trophies

All the information will be emailed out shortly.

Please note: Monday's Classes

Twists & Tricks and both Junior Acro classes will do their presentations on Monday 12th October.

Inter Combo and Inter Acro will do theirs on Monday 19th October.

This is so we can use the larger hall, giving us enough space for the dancers to perform comfortably while also allowing family members to come in and watch.

I know how much our dancers look forward to Presentation Week every year and they absolutely LOVE collecting their awards! 🤩💛

✨ Studio J FAQs: Where are you located?

We get asked this one a LOT, especially by families who are new to Studio J… so we thought we'd start a little Studio J FAQ series! 💛

❓ Where are you located?

📍 The Church of the Annunciation S40 4SD
📍 Stretton Village Hall, DE55 6EW

On Mondays & Tuesdays, our classes take place at The Church of the Annunciation. 💛

This one can be a little tricky to find the first time, so here’s how to get to us:

🚗 The entrance we use is around the back of the church, accessed via the car park from Queen Street.
📍 If you're using a sat nav, it may take you to Spencer Street, so don't worry if it seems like you've been sent to the wrong place!

🔒 The doors are kept locked during classes, so if you arrive and nobody is at the door, just give it a really good knock or call 07783 081135 and we'll come and let you in!

On Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays, we're at Stretton Village Hall. 💛

📍 You'll find us directly opposite the BP petrol station, so we're nice and easy to spot!

We know that having different venues can sometimes be a little confusing, so your class confirmation will always tell you exactly where your class takes place.
