Stone Age Day – Help Needed!
As part of our Semi Formal pathway topic next half term, our pupils will be taking part in an exciting Stone Age Day, designed to bring their learning to life through hands-on experiences.
Unfortunately, there are no topic boxes available from the library for this time, so we are asking for support from our school community. If you, or someone you know has any Stone Age related resources that could be borrowed for the day, we would love to hear from you.
Examples of useful items include:
- Stone, bone or wooden tools (or safe replicas)
- Animal skins, fur throws or natural fabrics
- Wooden bowls, clay pots or pottery
- Natural materials such as stones, flint, sticks or feathers
- Fossils, antlers or natural artefacts
- Books or visual resources related to the Stone Age
- Simple costumes or tunics made from natural materials
All items will be handled with care and returned promptly. If you are able to help, please contact the school.
We would be very grateful for any support in helping us make this a memorable learning experience for our pupils.

This Sunday, we have chosen to hold a very last minute event, in the hope of raising much needed funds for a family of one of our lovely locals Curt Walker.
Curt’s cousins son Charlie is only 5 years old, and his parents Mark and Holly have been given the heartbreaking news that his cancer has returned and there is no cure, they have very little time left.
No parent should have to go through this and they are so brave for their young son, Mark and Holly made the decision to stop the invasive treatment and make Charlie’s last weeks happy and comfortable.
This fun day is a way to help raise money for them towards making memories and for the cost of a funeral their little boy deserves.
There will be lots of fun activities, included live music, a chest waxing event (Curt is far too hairy) and a charity raffle.
ANY OTHER RAFFLE PRIZES WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED 🩵
We know it’s last minute but we hope you can pop along to show your support.
Together we can make a difference 🩵
If you can’t make it and you can, please donate or just share the go fund me link…. It all means so much to the whole family x
Please share

Upper 4 had an amazing work experience trip to Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock recently!
Students tried their hand at housekeeping, gift‑shop stocking, catering, and ground maintenance — and of course, we couldn’t leave without a visit to the Upside Down House.
Such a brilliant experience, thank you Gulliver's Kingdom for having us!

Last week, Orange Class enjoyed a brilliant trip to Matlock Farm Park. They were excited to see all the animals and explore and learn about life on the farm
