Number of the day!
One of my favourite ways to start a Maths tutoring session. This can be done with any number and adapted to any level. It is a great way to revise number and place value knowledge.
* Year 2 child so not halving to decimal numbers yet.

How many different ways can you represent 24?
PLACE VALUE fun last week! 🔢
An understanding of place value underpins everything we learn in Maths. Being able to represent one number in lots of different ways is great to embed understanding. Learners start to see the value of the tens and the ones.
