The government highlights the importance of reading together with children as it boosts confidence, wellbeing, academic skills, and can even have an impact on future earnings. We know they are committed this year to improve reading in schools and we know parents want to support this, but finding the time in busy days isn’t always easy.
That’s where Page Turners comes in!
Our book clubs:
-Bring children together to read and discuss books socially
-Develop core reading skills including inference, evaluation and summary, through conversation
-Encourage creative and emotive writing, turning ideas into real books
-Offer opportunities like HarperCollins’ Young Editors scheme
With experienced teachers and sessions inspired by BookTrust research, we make social reading fun and manageable, helping kids enjoy books whilst building skills that last a lifetime.
