🦋 Butterfly Room – Sensory Fun!

Our toddlers have been exploring wonderful sensory experiences this week — clean, contained messy play at its best! ✨

We placed bright paint and colourful balls under clear cling film, then secured it tight. Children pressed, squished and moved everything around with their hands on top — watching colours swirl, mix and shift, feeling the bumpy texture and seeing patterns form… zero mess, maximum fun! We used our light up table — shining bright, glowing colours that change and shift. Children explored shapes, colours and reflections, watching how things look different when light shines through them. ✨🔮

✅ What they’re learning:

• Fine motor skills — pressing, pushing, hand control

• Colour recognition & cause and effect

• Sensory exploration — touch, sight, movement

• Concentration, curiosity and creativity

Sensory play helps little brains grow, learn and make sense of everything around them — and we love finding ways to keep it fun and safe!💛

🌟 AMAZING NEWS – 5 STAR FOOD HYGIENE RATING! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We are absolutely thrilled and so proud to share that we have been awarded a 5 STAR Food Hygiene Rating!

This fantastic result is all thanks to our wonderful kitchen team – Jo, our amazing Chef, and Kellie, our brilliant Kitchen Assistant – who work incredibly hard every single day to prepare delicious, nutritious, fresh and safe meals for all our children. They follow every guideline perfectly, keep our standards exceptionally high, and put so much love, care and attention into everything they do. 💛

Healthy, balanced food is such an important part of life at our nursery, and we know how much the children love their meals, snacks and treats! This rating is a wonderful recognition of the high standards we hold ourselves to, and a huge thank you and congratulations to Jo and Kellie for making this happen. 💚

✨ Forest School is BACK! ✨🌳

We are so excited to share that our Forest School sessions start again NEXT WEEK — and we can’t wait to wrap up warm, head outdoors and explore all the magic that nature has to offer! 🍂

Every week, we walk together safely to our beautiful local woodland — this journey is part of the fun and learning itself! Along the way, children notice changes in the seasons, spot birds, insects and plants, practise road safety, and enjoy chatting, observing and connecting with friends and the world around them. It’s wonderful for building confidence, physical skills and a sense of adventure before we even arrive! 💛

It’s an amazing extra opportunity we are so proud to offer — giving children time, space and freedom to learn, grow and thrive in the open air. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to play — just discovery, joy and connection! 🌲

Our Hedgehogs room is a nurturing space designed especially for our youngest children, welcoming babies from 3 months to around 16–18 months, depending on their individual development and readiness.

In this reel, Room Leader Isabelle gives us a little insight into life in Hedgehogs, from the space and activities to the support our team provides as little ones take their first steps on their early years journey.💚

🐸 Leia places genuine connection at the heart of everything she does. She personally ensures every single child and their parents receive a handwritten birthday card. Her handovers are thorough, detailed and warm. Parents repeatedly comment on how confident and reassured they feel after speaking with her. 🎓✨ What a special way to celebrate our amazing preschoolers! ✨🎓

After an exciting morning meeting some friendly farm animals, it was time for our preschoolers to change into their graduation gowns and caps for a truly memorable ceremony. 💚

Families gathered in the garden to watch each child proudly take part in their graduation walk, where Tracey and Taylor presented them with a personalised certificate celebrating everything that makes them so special – from the qualities they bring to nursery to the things we'll miss most about them. 🥹

To finish the celebrations, everyone enjoyed a special teatime together, making it the perfect end to a wonderful day.

To all of our preschool graduates, we are so incredibly proud of you. Thank you for filling our nursery with laughter, kindness and unforgettable memories. We will miss you all so much, but we know you're ready for your next big adventure.✏️🎒

🐐 Who needs a trip to the farm when the farm comes to nursery? 🐴

To celebrate our preschoolers' graduation day, we welcomed some friendly farm animals to nursery – and what an unforgettable experience it was!

Every child had the chance to meet the animals up close, gently stroke them, and learn more about each one from their expert handlers. Our garden was transformed into a mini farm, with a Shetland pony, goats, a sheep, chicks, hedgehogs, a tortoise, a snake, guinea pigs and more. 🐢🐰🐐

Experiences like these help children build confidence, develop empathy and respect for living things, and spark curiosity about the natural world through hands-on learning. 💚

It was a morning full of smiles, excitement, memories and the best start to graduation celebrations! 🥰
