*GCSE Maths Group Tuition Sessions - Easter Holidays*
During the Easter Holidays, I will be running group tuition sessions via Zoom in preparation for the upcoming Maths GCSEs.

Key details:
- Maximum of 6 students per sessions
- £25 per student per session
- The sessions will be purely revision based - exam style questions and exam techniques
- All sessions will run from 10am to 11am
- I will be running separate sessions for Foundation, Higher (grade 4/5/6), and Higher (grade 7/8/9):
Tuesday 31st and Tuesday 7th - Foundation
Wednesday 1st and Wednesday 8th - Higher (grades 4/5/6)
Thursday 2nd and Thursday 9th - Higher (grades 7/8/9)

🤔Struggling with worded Maths problems?🤔
Worded Maths problems are now a very common sight in GCSE papers and it can be hard to work out what needs to be calculated and in what order!

As a Maths teacher, I am always on the look out for new methods of working that I can teach my students - it is never "one method fits all"!

During a tuition session with one of my students, they mentioned that they had been working on "toothbrush" questions and I was thoroughly confused.😵‍💫It turned out that their teacher referred to multi-step word questions as "toothbrush" questions due to how they were teaching the students to show their working.

As you can see in the photos, each line of working looks like a toothbrush!🪥I think this is a fantastic method to help students think carefully about what needs to be worked out and in what order. It also means that an examiner can clearly follow the student's working which is a common issue that crops up!

Why not introduce this method to your child or tutee the next time they are practicing worded Maths problems! ⭐️

One of the huge benefits of 1-2-1 tuition is that content can be taught at the pace that is most suitable for that individual. This gives the student time to ask as many questions as needed to ensure they fully understand the topic we are learning about.💪
