'Family Week' in setting this week provided lots of opportunities for children to talk about people who are special to them, including families and pets. It's lovely way to learn more about each other and tailor our provision to the children and the families we work with.

Adventures continued this week with further exploration in our Forest School area.

Turn taking at the painting station led to various colour mixing experiments which transformed our pumpkin into various colours - ending up a very autumnal shade of brown!

This week's Sign of the Week is...

'Good Morning!'

Continuing to introduce children to simple signs aids communication and promotes inclusivity.

Keep a look out for a different sign each week and feel free to practise this at home too!

If you'd like more information of how we use signs in settings, please get in touch!

World Smile Day is a global celebration dedicated to positivity, kindness, and the universal power of a smile. The day comes from Harvey Ball, the artist behind the iconic yellow smiley face, who decided we needed a day to celebrate smiles.

This week in setting, we've been reinforcing the importance of oral health. Activities helped children to learn more about looking after our smiles and offered lots chances to practice cleaning teeth!

Adjusting the Angle, not the Stories...

Following recent guidance and our ongoing commitment to safeguarding, we're moving away from uploading images of children's faces.
