Movement breaks are helpful because they give the brain and body a chance to reset, improving concentration, engagement and readiness to learn. They can reduce restlessness, support emotional regulation, and help students return to tasks feeling more focused and calm.
For children and young people with SEND, movement breaks can also help meet sensory needs, reduce anxiety, improve physical wellbeing, and support self-regulation throughout the school day. By providing regular opportunities to move, schools can help learners sustain attention and achieve their best.

Seasonal SEND Days return to WWT Slimbridge for Autumn ✨

🗓️ Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October

Join us for two days of activities specially designed for children and young people with different needs and their families and friends.

The SEND Day programming includes:
🦢 Bewick's swan researcher activities
🎨 Nature crafts
🦩 Flamingo talks
🐌 Pond dipping
📖 Story time
🎧 Silent disco
⭐ Sensory space

🎟️ Tickets including admission are just £8.20 for 3 to 15 year olds and £11.25 for 16 to 18 year olds. 1 free adult and 1 free carer per booking, under 3s go free.

For years, Emma has given time, energy, and commitment to building the club from the ground up. Through rain, shine, and everything in between, Emma has created opportunities for people to participate, belong, and thrive through sport.
