I had a lovely day exploring the drawing and discussing artefacts centuries old.

These doors belonged to T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia). Made of wood most likely sourced from India, they were probably carved in East Africa before being installed in a merchant’s house in Jeddah where TE Lawrence found them and sent them to Cloud Hill in Dorset where he retired from the AirForce in 1935. Rather delightfully he had them installed on the pool house building. He’d had built in his garden a swimming pool for pleasure, but it also served as a reservoir in the event of heath fires.

Speechless at this memory that popped up on my phone from April 2025. The need to plan a return to India burns me from the inside out! 🪷

The last Little Christmas Pop-up Shop will be held at the end of November. Our festive Preview Evening is on 27th November, from 4pm - 8pm. This is a wonderful evening and a great opportunity to see and buy beautiful art and craftwork from the skilled makers who fill the shop with their fantastic creations. Then over the next 3 days, we will be open from 10 - 5pm each day and look forward to seeing you all! You will notice this is the last Christmas Pop-up Shop. We've loved doing it all, every year we've been going, so do come and celebrate the last hurrah with us!

I’ve had a bit of fun photographing my two most recent ceramic sculptures. 🤍 I am really excited to be exhibiting these new sculptures; I’m beyond chuffed with how they look!

Relics or fossils and bones, or seeds burgeoning, yet they’re statuesque as if of human ancient power. See them yourself!!!
