Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me just how powerful books can be. ❤️📚
Armed with over 70 books, a camera, plenty of enthusiasm and a route taking us to seven wonderful telephone box libraries and community book exchanges across Essex, we set off on a little adventure.
At every stop we left books behind, hoping they'll find exactly the right reader at exactly the right time.
Among them were copies of:
🍐 'The Wrong Avocado' - my gentle guide for anyone navigating the emotional journey through cancer.
✈️ 'Who's Flying Your Plane?'
🐝 My children's books, ready for young imaginations to discover.
There's something rather magical about community book exchanges. You never know who will open the door, browse the shelves or pick up a book that speaks to them. A book can offer comfort, hope, inspiration, laughter or simply provide the perfect escape for a little while.
A huge thank you to all the villages that care for these wonderful little libraries. They are such a simple idea, yet they bring communities together in the loveliest way.
Today's journey took us to:
📍 Great Baddow
📍 Ingatestone
📍 Wyatts Green
📍 High Easter
📍 Pleshey
📍 Willows Green
📍 Little Waltham
If you happen to spot one of my books sitting on a shelf, I'd love to know! Please take a photo, tag me and, most importantly, enjoy reading it before passing it on for someone else to discover.
Because sometimes the right book has an uncanny way of finding the right person at just the right moment. 💚📖

Today’s the day for our monthly NLP Practice Workshop, and I’d love to welcome you if you feel called to join us.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is pause long enough to notice what’s really going on beneath the surface - how we’re thinking, feeling, reacting, and where we might be getting stuck in patterns that drain our energy.
That’s exactly what these sessions are for.
📅 Today (Wednesday 29th July)
🕡 6:30pm UK time
💻 Live on Zoom
Last month we explored how NLP can support a more fulfilling life, drawing on coaching tools alongside NLP to bring more clarity, direction, and purpose.
A strong theme that emerged was balance - and how easily life can tip into overwhelm and burnout without us fully realising it.
This evening's focus: Creating Balance & Preventing Burnout
We’ll explore how NLP can help you:
• Recognise early signs of imbalance
• Understand the thinking patterns that drive stress and overload
• Shift unhelpful internal dialogue
• Create more sustainable ways of living and working
• Build resilience when life feels full and fast-paced
As always, this will be practical, experiential, and supportive - a space to learn, reflect, and take away tools you can genuinely use in everyday life.
Whether you’re brand new to NLP or have been working with it for years, you are very welcome.
If you’d like to join us, there’s still time to book via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/anlp-practice-workshop-tickets-50635667645
look forward to seeing you there.

Life After Cancer 💗
As someone who has been through breast cancer myself, I know that finishing treatment isn't always the finish line people imagine it to be.
Family and friends are often delighted to see treatment come to an end, and there's an expectation that life will simply return to normal. For some people, it does.
But for many of us, the emotional journey continues.
The shock of the diagnosis, the uncertainty, the changes to how we see ourselves, the fear of recurrence, and learning to trust our bodies again can stay with us long after the appointments become less frequent.
That's why I'm so honoured to be delivering a Life After Cancer workshop for the Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust on 29th July.
Drawing on both my professional experience as an NLP Trainer and Coach, and my personal experience, I'll be sharing practical tools to help support emotional wellbeing, build resilience, manage unhelpful thoughts, and rediscover confidence for whatever comes next.
This workshop is open to anyone who has been diagnosed with, or is currently going through, breast cancer. Whether you're newly diagnosed, in treatment, or months or years beyond it, you'll be met with understanding, compassion, and practical strategies in a safe and supportive space.
Cancer may change your life, but it doesn't have to define your future.
I can't wait to meet everyone on 29th July.

Yesterday marked the final face-to-face session of our current ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management - The Psychology of Success with NLP programme... although, in reality, the delegates ran the session!
The morning was dedicated to their presentations, and what a fantastic way to finish the taught element of the programme. Each delegate delivered a powerful presentation, sharing their learning, insights and experiences with confidence, professionalism and authenticity.
Watching people grow throughout the course is always one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Seeing the confidence they have developed, the depth of their understanding, and the practical ways they are already applying their learning back into the workplace is incredibly inspiring.
Congratulations to every member of the cohort. You should all be proud of what you've achieved. Thank you for your enthusiasm, support for one another and the energy you brought to every session. It has been a privilege to be part of your leadership journey.
I'm now taking expressions of interest for the next ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management programme, and I already have an active waiting list.
If you're looking to develop your leadership skills, build your confidence, gain a recognised qualification and become a more effective leader, I'd love to tell you more.
📩 Send me a message if you'd like information about the next course or to add your name to the waiting list.

Last month we explored how to create a more fulfilling life using NLP, combining coaching tools with NLP principles to bring more clarity and direction.
A theme that naturally emerged was balance - and how easily we can slip into patterns that lead to stress, overwhelm, and burnout without even noticing.

Today I'm delivering another session of the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring qualification, with a fabulous group of delegates as part of our training programme delivered in partnership with Inspiring Cultures Limited (ICL).
It's always a pleasure working alongside ICL to develop skilled, confident coaches who are passionate about helping others succeed.
Coaching is so much more than asking good questions. It's about creating the space for people to think, develop, overcome challenges and achieve their potential. When you combine a genuine desire to help others with professional coaching skills, you can make a real difference to individuals, teams and organisations.
The ILM Level 5 Certificate is ideal for those who want to:
⭐ Develop professional coaching and mentoring skills
⭐ Build confidence and credibility as a coach or mentor
⭐ Demonstrate a recognised level of professionalism through a recognised qualification
⭐ Support others to achieve meaningful and lasting results
One of my favourite parts of delivering this programme is watching delegates grow in confidence as they learn and apply powerful coaching techniques that they can use immediately in their roles.
I'm now taking expressions of interest for the next course, and I already have an active waiting list. If you've been considering gaining a professional coaching qualification or want to develop your coaching and mentoring skills, I'd love to hear from you.
📩 Send me a message for more information or to add your name to the waiting list.

It’s Friday.
Wherever you’ve landed today… I just want to acknowledge that.
This week might have felt full, light, heavy, messy, productive… or a strange mix of all of it at once.
Most weeks are.
If it’s been a good one, I hope you get a moment to really notice that before you rush on.
If it’s been a tough one, I hope you can be a little gentler with yourself as you come to the end of it.
You don’t have to resolve everything before the weekend arrives.
You don’t have to carry it all perfectly.
You’ve made it here. That matters.
Let the next couple of days give you a bit of space to breathe, reset, and simply be.
Whatever you’re heading into next… you don’t have to do it all at once.

People often think that NLP is about learning techniques.
And yes, you'll learn skills. Powerful ones.
You'll become a better communicator, a better listener, more influential, more resilient and more aware of how you think, feel and behave.
But for me... that's only part of the story.
The real magic of NLP isn't what other people see.
It's the quiet moments when no one else is watching.
It's the conversation you have with yourself after you've made a mistake.
It's noticing the critical voice in your head and choosing words that are kinder, more compassionate and more supportive.
It's learning to let go of beliefs that no longer serve you.
It's responding rather than reacting.
It's finding calm where there once was chaos.
It isn't about putting on a show or pretending to have everything figured out.
It's about becoming more authentic.
More accepting.
More at peace with who you are.
And perhaps the greatest transformation of all...
Learning not just to know yourself.
Not just to like yourself.
But, dare I say it...
To love the person you are becoming.
That, to me, is what NLP is really about.

One of the roles I'm most proud of is being an Ambassador for .
For me, it's about far more than having a title.
It's about championing a profession that has genuinely changed lives... including my own.
I've seen first-hand the difference that Neuro-Linguistic Programming can make, whether that's helping someone build confidence, communicate more effectively, become a better leader, overcome limiting beliefs, navigate life's challenges or simply realise they're capable of far more than they ever imagined.
As an ANLP Ambassador, I have the privilege of helping to raise awareness of NLP, promoting high professional standards, and encouraging people to discover what NLP can offer in both their personal and professional lives.
I'm passionate about ensuring people understand that NLP isn't about quick fixes or clever tricks. It's about practical, ethical tools that help people think differently, communicate better and create meaningful, lasting change.
Whether I'm delivering accredited training, coaching individuals, speaking at events, or supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments, I see the impact these tools can have every single day.
Being trusted to represent ANLP is something I value enormously, and I'm proud to play a small part in helping our profession continue to grow with integrity, professionalism and excellence.
If you've ever been curious about NLP, I'd love to have a conversation about what it is, what it isn't, and how it could help you.
