If you’ve heard me talk about NLP before, you’ll know I’m always describing it as something pretty incredible…
But I also get this question a lot:
“What actually is NLP?”
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is often described in lots of different ways, but at its heart it’s about understanding how your mind works… and then learning how to work with it more effectively.
How your thoughts are structured.
How emotions are created and changed.
How beliefs are formed.
And how language shapes your experience of the world.
Once you understand that, things start to shift.
Because so much of what we experience in life isn’t just what happens to us… it’s how we internally represent it.
And NLP gives you practical tools to change those internal patterns in a way that can be surprisingly fast and powerful.
That’s why I talk about it so much.
It’s not theory for theory’s sake.
It’s practical. Experiential. Life-changing.
If you’re curious and want to find out more, I’ve created a free pre-recorded NLP taster session that you can watch in your own time:
And if it sparks questions or curiosity, feel free to reach out to me directly. I’m always happy to chat and help you explore whether it might be right for you.
Sometimes the smallest curiosity… opens the door to the biggest shifts 🌱

The upcoming NLP Practitioner course (starts 20th June) is something I genuinely get excited about sharing… because I know what it can do.
It changed my life.
Not in a small 'nice extra skills' kind of way… but in a deep, practical, lasting way that reshaped how I think, how I feel, and how I show up in the world.
And that’s exactly what it can do for others too.
NLP is not just theory.
It’s practical, usable, real-world tools that help you:
• shift unhelpful beliefs that keep you stuck
• change emotional patterns that no longer serve you
• break old habits and responses
• communicate and connect more effectively
• build stronger, healthier relationships
• and ultimately create more choice in how you live and lead your life
This is not about 'nice to have' personal development.
It’s about real change. The kind you can feel, notice, and apply immediately in everyday life.
When you understand how your mind is working, you can start working with it rather than against it. And that’s where things really begin to shift.
If you’re curious about the NLP Practitioner course, and whether it might be right for you, feel free to reach out and have a conversation. I’m always happy to talk it through and answer questions.
Because sometimes the smallest decision to explore something new… becomes the moment everything starts to change 🌱

This week I’m in Hemel Hempstead working with a leadership team, delivering training in coaching and mentoring skills.
One of the consistent themes running through the sessions is the power of coaching conversations.
Because coaching isn’t about having all the answers… it’s about asking the kind of questions that unlock thinking, shift perspective, and help someone find their own solutions.
A well-placed question can change the direction of a conversation.
A moment of real listening can change the direction of a decision.
And over time, those small shifts can change the direction of a culture.
When leaders learn to coach, they don’t just improve performance… they change the way people think, respond, and grow.
And that ripple effect extends far beyond the workplace.
If you’ve ever thought about developing coaching skills or becoming a coach yourself, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to share more about the pathways and training available.
Because coaching is not just a skillset… it’s a way of thinking and leading that can transform both people and performance.

Yesterday I was delivering a session for the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management - The Psychology of Success with NLP.
Our topic?
Professional presentations and public speaking 🎤
For so many people, this is the part they dread the most.
The fear of standing up in front of others…
Worrying about getting it wrong…
Forgetting what to say…
Feeling judged…
Public speaking consistently ranks as one of people’s biggest fears, yet what’s fascinating is that the fear is often created internally by the pictures, thoughts, and stories running through the mind.
That’s where NLP becomes incredibly powerful.
Once people understand how their mind is creating the fear response, they can begin to change it.
And when you know how to shift your internal dialogue, manage your state, and create a different emotional response, something amazing happens…
The fear starts to subside.
Confidence begins to grow.
People stop just 'getting through' presentations and start to actually enjoy them.
Because confidence in communication is not something people are simply born with.
It’s something that can be learned.
And often, the biggest transformation happens not on the outside… but between your ears 🧠✨

This week I’m right in the middle of delivering Growth Mindset sessions with the leadership team of a company, and once again it’s a powerful reminder that mindset shapes far more than we often realise.
What’s going on between your ears influences how you lead, communicate, respond to pressure, handle setbacks, make decisions, and even how you see opportunities.
It ripples out into every area of life.
Work. Relationships. Confidence. Health. Leadership. Resilience.
Two people can face the exact same challenge and create completely different outcomes based on the meaning they give it and the mindset they bring to it.
A growth mindset isn’t about forced positivity or pretending challenges don’t exist. It’s about learning how to respond differently, think differently, and lead yourself more effectively when life gets noisy.
Because the quality of your thinking influences the quality of your results.
Your mind can become either your runway… or your turbulence ✈️
And that’s why mindset work matters so much.

Bank holidays have a special kind of magic about them… ☀️
A chance to slow the pace.
Recharge your batteries.
Step away from the constant 'doing' and reconnect with yourself for a moment.
As summer begins to peek around the corner, maybe this weekend is your reminder that life isn’t only about rushing from one runway to the next ✈️
If you’re looking for a summer read with practical tools, mindset shifts, and a fresh perspective on taking back the controls of your life, my book 'Who’s Flying Your Plane? How to Master the Controls of Your Life' might be the perfect companion for a sunny afternoon in the garden, by the sea, or with a coffee in hand 📖
Because sometimes the most important journey is the one happening inside your own mind.
Whatever you’re doing this bank holiday, I hope you find a little space to breathe, reset, and refuel 💛

What a week it’s been… full of conversations, insights, and those “lightbulb” moments that make this work so rewarding.
I had the pleasure of running a half-day Action Learning Set for one group working towards their ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring, exploring real challenges, reflective practice, and deeper coaching capability in action.
And then a completely different energy (but the same purpose) with a DISC Profiling day for another group on the same certification - helping them understand behavioural preferences and how to adapt their coaching style for even greater impact.
What I love most is seeing coaches grow in confidence, awareness, and flexibility… adding more tools to their toolkit so they can support their clients even more effectively.
It’s never just about the qualification. It’s about becoming a more skilled, more reflective, more impactful coach.
If you’re curious about DISC Profiling for your team, or becoming a coach, or you’re already coaching and want a recognised certification that builds credibility and opens doors professionally, feel free to message me.
Always happy to share more about the programme and whether it’s the right fit for you.

Today’s the day.
Grief doesn’t follow a plan.
It’s not neat, predictable, or something you can “fix”… and it’s a specialism in its own right.
But within that space, NLP can help by offering ways to support… to create a little more steadiness, a little more breathing room, and a way to navigate what can feel overwhelming.
Tonight, I’m running an ANLP Practice Workshop focused on exactly that.
🧠 How NLP can support those experiencing grief
🤝 How to use these tools appropriately and respectfully
💬 Practical insights for supporting others or yourself

What a whirlwind few days 🌪️✨
We had a truly fabulous time at the last ever in-person NLP International Conference. So many incredible conversations, insights, reunions, and those unexpected hallway moments that stay with you long after the event ends.
There was definitely a mix of excitement and a little sadness knowing it was the final in-person gathering of its kind… but mostly it felt like gratitude for being part of such a vibrant, curious, and committed community.
And then straight back into action today…
I’m spending the morning sharing some NLP love with a wonderful group of ladies at the Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust.
Today’s focus is all about finding your inner strength. That quiet resourcefulness we all have, even when it doesn’t feel obvious, and how NLP tools can help us reconnect with it, especially during challenging times.
From conference halls to heartfelt workshops… what a privilege to do work that spans both learning and lived experience.
Here’s to meaningful conversations in all their forms 💜
