You know you’re getting old when a factory tour is exciting🤣

You may or may not have heard of Ingram Spark, but they mean a lot if you’re an indie author or publisher. We all know Amazon, but Ingram plays a huge part in getting our books into the big stores.

Thank you to Ingram today for inviting us down for a catch up and showing us around the printing process. Felt like a school girl on a trip, but I paid more attention this time.

Was great to voice my opinions as both an author and a retailer. Seeing it from the other side and being able to ask the questions I’ve had for a few years 1-1 is great.

Seeing the whole operation from start to finish really gives you perspective on what goes into getting a book from your computer to someone’s hands.

With NDAs and no photography I couldn’t give you a sneak preview but it was fascinating 🤩

Inflation is real and you feel it every time you check your bank balance or do the food shop.

You know it shouldn’t be this hard just to live. You’re not lazy. You’re working. You’re showing up. And still, it feels like your money isn’t stretching the way it used to.

You shouldn’t have to work harder just to keep up—and yes, you’re right. But if there’s an opportunity in front of you to shift things even slightly, take it.

If you can earn a bit more using what you already know, do it.

If there’s a way to build income without asking permission, explore it.
