The warmer weather is finally here… and in early years that often means:
🌿 more outdoor adventures
🌿 muddy puddles and messy play
🌿 water trays and splashing fun
🌿 bug hunts and nature walks
🌿 and plenty of sunscreen routines 😅

Outdoor play brings so many wonderful opportunities for learning, movement and wellbeing — but it’s also a great time to refresh our focus on sun safety too ☀️

A few gentle reminders for sunny days:
🤍 Encourage regular water breaks
🤍 Create shaded areas where possible
🤍 Keep hats easy to find and clearly labelled
🤍 Stay consistent with sunscreen routines
🤍 Plan quieter activities during the warmest parts of the day
🤍 Remember staff wellbeing outdoors matters too 🌿

Children don’t need elaborate setups to thrive outdoors.
They simply need safe, responsive spaces where they can explore, move, learn and play 🤍

Before writing comes so much more ✨
It’s easy to focus on letters and pencil grip… but what really matters first is building those little hand muscles and coordination through play 🤍

We had 5 duckling hatched over night which are now all settled in the home for the week!
