I’m an experienced, friendly editor and proofreader based in Norfolk, England. I have a passion for the English language and a major obsession with getting things right. As a freelance proofreader, I work closely with publishers, authors and academics to help fine-tune their manuscripts ready for publication. I’m happy working in a wide range of genres and provide different levels of proofreading

– every project is different and every writer has their own style and way of working. I’m very comfortable with both UK and US English and generally proofread in Microsoft Word or PDF. However, if you would like your manuscript proofread in hard copy, I'll annotate using British Standards Institution (BSI) proof-correction marks. I’m an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), and I follow their Professional Practice Code.
