**Our new lesson schedule is here!**

Starting September 1st

We've had a bit of a shake-up behind the scenes, so here's exactly when we're open for private and group lessons each week. Swipe through the chart to find your day and time, then drop us a message to book in! 🐴

🟢 Green = Private lessons
🟠 Orange = Group lessons

Show Jump Academy will run 3pm-5pm the last Sunday of each month over winter.

🎮 5 Day Summer Camp — Retro Games Theme 🎮

What an absolutely incredible week we have had here at MA Equestrian! Our retro games themed 5 day summer camp has been everything we hoped for and so much more — and we are still buzzing from it all!

The campers threw themselves into ridden and non-ridden challenges all week, competing in their teams to earn points and take home the glory. The teams were named after the ghosts from Pacman - Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde. The horses were absolutely stunning — beautifully turned out with gorgeous mane and tail plaits and even some impressive quarter marks! 🐴✨

Here are your results:

Hannah, Polly, Kitty and Lilly-Mae — what a team. You smashed it from start to finish!

🥇 Showjumping — Lacey & Billy

🥈 Reserve Camp Champion — Millie & Honey
🏆 Overall Camp Champion — Emily & Blossom

And that is not all — off the yard we took the campers swimming with fun games and challenges, tested their skills at bowling (some very impressive aims!), and rounded off the evenings with karaoke, Just Dance, and a retro games quiz! 🎤🎳🕹️

Every single camper should be so incredibly proud of themselves. The effort, the sportsmanship, and the smiles all week long made this camp one to remember.

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff for making the week run so smoothly, and of course to our absolute superstar horses who gave everything as always. We love you all! 🐴💛

💛 A message from me, Molly-Ann.

We talk a lot about respect for our horses here at MA Equestrian, and rightly so. But today I want to talk about respect for our people.

Our team — our grooms, our coaches, our staff — work incredibly hard every single day. They show up in all weathers, they care deeply about every horse and every rider, and they go above and beyond time and time again. They deserve to be treated with the same kindness and respect that we ask everyone to show our animals.

The vast majority of our clients are absolutely wonderful and we are so grateful for every single one of you. You make MA Equestrian the community it is and we love having you here.

But I want to be clear — rudeness, swearing, or disrespectful behaviour towards any member of our team will not be tolerated. This includes situations that are completely outside of our control.
Staff deserve to come to work and feel safe, valued, and respected — just like everyone else.

As yard owner it is my responsibility to look after my team, and I will always do that.

Anyone who is disrespectful towards our staff will unfortunately not be welcome back to MA Equestrian.

We are a kind, supportive, and welcoming yard — and we intend to keep it that way.

💧 Is your horse drinking enough this summer?

It sounds like a simple question but it is one of the most important ones you can ask during the warmer months.
Horses need a surprisingly large amount of water every single day. Somewhere between 25 and 55 litres depending on their size, workload, and how hot it is. In summer that number goes up, especially after exercise or on particularly warm days.
The problem is that horses do not always drink as much as they should, and dehydration can creep up quickly.

Here are a few things worth checking:
— Is fresh water always available and easy to reach?
— Is the water bucket or trough clean? Horses will avoid dirty or stagnant water
— Has your horse's water intake changed recently?
— Are they sweating more than usual after work?

A quick way to check for dehydration is the skin pinch test — gently pinch the skin on the neck and release. In a well hydrated horse it springs back immediately. If it is slow to return, that is a sign your horse may need more water.

If you are ever worried, speak to your vet. But a clean, full water supply is one of the simplest and most effective things you can do for your horse this summer. 💙

Show Jumping League

Sadly, due to the heat, we have to cancel tomorrow's Show Jumping League. All entries have been moved to Thursday 23rd July at 5pm, running until we finish (expected 7–8pm).

If you're booked on for tomorrow evening's session, you don't need to do anything you'll automatically be transferred to the 23rd July session.

If you can't make the new date, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll arrange a refund or credit on your account.

🐴 WE'RE HIRING: Groom Wanted! 🐴
MA Equestrian is looking for a reliable and horse-loving Groom to join our team!
📅 Days: Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays (with the option of overtime)
💷 Salary: £26,500 per annum, pro rata
📍 Location: Boughton Mill, Welford Road Chapel Brampton, Northamptonshire
We're after someone who's hardworking, passionate about horse welfare, and happy to muck in (literally!) as part of our friendly yard team. Previous grooming experience is a plus, but a great attitude and willingness to learn matter just as much.
What you'll be doing:
🐎 Daily yard duties – mucking out, feeding, turnout
🐎 Grooming and general horse care
🐎 Helping keep the yard safe, tidy and running smoothly
🐎 Supporting our lessons, Saddle Club and events where needed
