Little Monkeys nursery Little Monkeys provides exceptional care and lots of fun for little people aged between 3 months and 5 years.

We are situated within the 4 acres of grounds at Wringford Down in Cawsand. Open every weekday from 08:30-17:50 with early starts and late finishes available if required. We also run an after school club for Fourlanesend school for children up to the age of 11 years, and provide holiday playschemes for local children.

Care and education of children under the age of 5 years. Working as part of a small team you must be qualified, fully conversant with the EYFS, have a thorough knowledge of safeguarding and enjoy spending time with small people.

Today we made the most of the warm weather and tackled an obstacle course. We practised balancing, climbing, navigating tunnels, steps and slides and enjoyed playing with our friends. Afterwards we had beans, hot dog sausages and toast for tea.

Tadpole update 🐸

We all looked at our tadpoles today and we noticed that they now all have tails, we spoke about them turning into frogs 🐸 we are very excited to see this happen.

Our tadpoles seam to be very happy in their temporary home and the little monkeys are really enjoying watching them every playtime to see how they are doing and what they look like.

World Book Day 2

On Thursday we all came to nursery dressed up it was so much fun to see everyone's outfits and to see big monkeys dressed up as well. In the tough tray today was big monkey Dawn's choice, there was a giant elephant drawn in there, we all knew it was Elmer and were very excited to find out what we were going to do with him. We read the story first and then we were told we are paining Elmer with colourful yogurt!! And that we are going to make Elmer biscuits, yum yum.

Another fantastic day with the monkeys and we loved seeing them in all their outfits. Elmer was painted using yogurt and food colouring and we made vegan Elmer buiscuits to cater for all the children. Fun filled day had by all.

World Book day 1.

Today we came to nursery in different costumes and our 2 Big Monkeys Naomi and Erica were dressed as pirates. When we got inside our tough tray was set up with a pirate ship and underpants!!! When we had story time we read 'Pirates love underpants' now we know why there are underpants in the tray. When we had snack we had a go at making our own pant toast, it was so much fun and very yummy.

To ensure all the children get an opportunity to dress up if they would like to, we are celebrating world book day today and Thursday at little monkeys. Today it was big monkey Erica turn to set up our tough tray, to add to our pirate set up we have also played pirate music in the background and pirate colouring.

Toast paining- milk and food colouring applied with a brush onto pant shaped bread then toast to set the colours.

On Thursday it is world book day, to celebrate this each of the big monkeys is creating one of their favourite children's books in our tough tray for the children to not only enjoy listening to the story but explore the story as as well.

Today it is Big Monkey Naomi's choice, she has chosen 'Going on a bear hunt' and has used different materials and objects to re create the story. I wonder if the little monkeys will find a bear? 🐻

We were all very excited as on Thursday we had some tadpoles given to us at Little Monkeys. We all watched them go into their new home and then had lots of fun watching them swim around the tank. We can't wait to see them all turn into frogs 🐸

At little monkeys we have been very lucky to have been given some tadpoles, we are going to watch our tadpoles over the coming weeks and see how they grow into frogs, learning about the frog lifecycle and taking care of living things along with our nursery fish.

Best snack ever!!!
Today because it is Pancake day we made our own pancakes 🥞 and had them with banana 🍌 and honey 🍯 they were the best. We had one pancake that tried to run away when we flipped it over, we all thought it was very funny.

With the children today we made vegan pancakes to accommodate food allergy needs. All the little monkeys loved the pancakes and they really enjoyed using the crepè pan to cook them on.
