🏃‍♂️🏅 Cross Country Success for Eli! 🏅

A huge well done to Eli, who was our highest-placed runner at last week's Richmond School Cross Country event! 👏

Eli finished in the top 5 in the Year 4 boys' race – a fantastic achievement against some tough competition! 🌟

We're keeping our fingers crossed that Eli will be selected to compete at the next level. We're still awaiting confirmation! 🤞

Well done, Eli! We're incredibly proud of you! ❤️👏

🏃‍♂️🏅 Sportsmanship at its best! 🏅🏃‍♀️

Last week, 40 children proudly represented Colburn at the Richmond School Cross Country event, showing fantastic determination and competitive spirit! 👏

However, a special mention goes to Austin! 🌟

During his race, Austin stopped to help a fellow competitor who had lost their trainer, sacrificing his own finishing position to help someone else.

His kindness was recognised with a Fantastic Sportsmanship Award! 🏆
We always encourage our children to be competitive, but how you compete matters just as much as where you finish!

Austin, you demonstrated our CARE values brilliantly. We couldn't be prouder! ❤️👏

🍛🍗 Our Pupil Leadership Team Gets Down to Business! 🌟

One of the first jobs for our new Pupil Leadership Team (PLT) was a particularly tasty one! 😋

Our pupil leaders were given an important decision to make – which new dish should feature on next half term's school lunch menu?

The choices were Chicken Curry 🍛 or BBQ Chicken 🍗.

After some serious discussion and debate, the vote was split! It turns out both dishes were just too popular to choose between!

Thankfully, Paul, our fantastic Catering Manager, listened to our pupil leaders and came up with a solution – both dishes will feature on the menu, alternating across the weeks! 👏

This is a brilliant example of pupil voice in action. Our children have been given a genuine opportunity to influence decisions about their school experience, and their opinions have made a real difference.

A big thank you to Paul for listening to our PLT and making it happen! 🙌

🌟 Introducing Our New Pupil Leadership Team! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to introduce our new Pupil Leadership Team at Colburn Community Primary School! 👏

Our pupil leaders will play an important role in shaping the future of our school, ensuring that pupil voice is heard and, more importantly, acted upon! 🗣️

This isn't just about wearing a badge! Our leaders will have real opportunities to:

✅ Make important decisions about pupil experiences and school life.

💡 Develop exciting new ideas and initiatives.

🚀 Lead projects that make a positive difference to our school community.

🤝 Represent their peers and ensure everyone's voice matters.

We want our children to know that their ideas, opinions and decisions can make a real difference.

We have also appointed a head boy (Teddy) and head girl (Elsie) who will chair the meetings and lead the group on future projects.

We can't wait to see what our new leaders achieve this year. Congratulations to everyone involved – we have some exciting times ahead! 🌟

❤️ Together we care, Together we grow.
