🐣🌸 Easter Fun at Nursery! 🌸🐣

We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating Easter together! A big thank you to all our families who helped the children create their fantastic Easter bonnets at home – we were so impressed with the effort that went into each one. As a special treat, every child who took part received a chocolate egg! 🍫🐰

The whole nursery joined in for an exciting Easter egg hunt! The children had a brilliant time searching high and low and were full of smiles 😁

🌟 A Proud Moment for Our Preschoolers! 🌟

The children have been working hard on writing their very first poems ✏️📖 and we’re pleased to share that their work has been published into a book! It’s been a great way to support their confidence and creativity 🌱✨

They were also given certificates to recognise their effort 🏅and we’ve included some photos of them with their awards 📸

Well done to all of our preschoolers – you should be very proud 💛

Our Preschool children had a fantastic time taking part in Red Nose Day! ❤️

The children came in wearing their pyjamas to help raise money for Red Nose Day, and we’re so proud of everyone who joined in and contributed.❤️

We enjoyed a fun game of “Pin the Red Nose” on Hey Duggee, which brought lots of laughter and excitement to the room! 😄

Pre School also explored a creative tuff tray activity, using sand to make their very own ice creams. 🍦 This encouraged imaginative play, creativity and lots of communication between friends.

🍀 Happy St Patrick’s Day from all of us at Ashbourne!🍀

We’ve had a fantastic day celebrating with lots of fun, hands-on activities across all our rooms!

Our Preschool children enjoyed a sensory green rice play activity, where they explored and discovered laminated pictures of St Patrick’s Day themed items. It was a great way to spark conversations and encourage imaginative play. ☘️

Our Mobile Babies had lots of fun getting messy with a tuff tray filled with shaving foam, creating the “clouds” of a rainbow. They explored coins and a pot of gold, developing their sensory skills while enjoying the theme. 🌈

Our Babies also joined in the celebrations with their own tuff tray, digging and searching for hidden coins which was a great way to support their curiosity and fine motor development!

Today we had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day at nursery! The children enjoyed exploring stories and sharing their favourite books with their friends.
The babies took part in a “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” themed tuff tray, where they explored different textures and scenes from the story which was amazing to see them engaging with the story through sensory play! 🐻🌿
The mobile babies had a great time with a Baby Shark themed water play activity. They loved singing along and exploring the water while playing with the sea creatures. 🦈💦
The pre-school children explored emotions through a Colour Monster tuff tray, talking about feelings and matching colours to different emotions from the story. 🌈😊
All of the children were also invited to bring in one of their favourite books from home to share with their friends.

The Mobile Babies had a lovely time celebrating Pancake Day! 🥞✨

They explored a pancake-themed tuff tray with lemons 🍋, flour, playdough, pans and spoons. They loved mixing, scooping and making their own pretend pancakes!

We’ve had lots of fun celebrating Chinese New Year in Nursery this week! 🧧

The children enjoyed exploring with the sensory rice play, scooping, pouring and practising their fine motor skills and mark making Chinese symbols using chopsticks. 🥢

It has been a wonderful opportunity to explore different cultures, develop creativity and learn about celebrations from around the world. 🌏❤️

The children have been speaking about remembrance day and the meanings of Poppy's. We created our own Poppy's to take home. Some of the children shared their experiences of military life and how they have family members who are soldiers. 💂‍♀️

This week we have been creating our own firework art. Babies used card board tubes with paint to create marks. Toddlers mixed salt with food colouring and glitter and used chopsticks to create their own firework patterns. 🔥🎆🎇
