When a young student bounces into tutor base with a huge smile carrying a certificate - this is just one of the wonderful things about my job - blown away by the resilience this little one demonstrates week in week out. He has worked so hard to get to this point. Never stop believing they can - and they will. Love my job. R😃

What a beautiful day! Just wanted to remind everyone that as we move past the ‘ newness’ of this academic year it is totally normal to feel a little tired. It is normal to feel a little overwhelmed by the demands and deadlines the Autumn term brings along with it - this is ok and it’s perfectly fine to validate these feelings. Take a break, do something that makes you smile. Rest and reset if you need to. R x

If a student leaves tutor sessions with new skills - I have done my job. If they feel accepted for who they are I will have achieved my goal.

Heart warming moments this week.

Two different children recommended these books to me. They both told me that I must read them - this is now my half term homework . 😜

Loved the moment when one of these children decided to teach me the breathing techniques from one of the books - “incase I ever needed to use them.” ❤️ this. R Ruth Owen Tutoring
