We are celebrating yet another year of exceptional GCSE results, setting new records and solidifying our position as one of the country's leading state schools. The QE Class of 2026 have been utterly amazing, and we wish them the very best of luck for all their future endeavours. We know they are going to be hugely successful in all that they do. A huge congratulations to all of our Year 11 students receiving their GCSE results tomorrow (Thursday 20th August)!

We are looking forward to seeing you from 8:30am to collect your results from New Close. Results will be available online from 10:00am on email and student portal if you cannot make it into school.

Well done for all your hard work! Whether you're moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or other exciting opportunities, tomorrow marks the beginning of a new chapter.

Congratulations to our year 7 pastoral coordinator, Mrs Jeffery, who represented Great Britain at the 2026 European Championships held in Banyoles, Spain. In 38-degree heat, Mrs Jeffery came 4th and 9th in the standard and sprint distance Duathlon respectively. Mrs. Jeffery said the heat made it hard work, but it’s always an honour to represent your country!

Great news for families this summer! Morrisons and Kellogg’s have teamed up to bring back their Free Breakfast Clubs during the school holidays. 💛
From 29th June to 6th September, both children and adults can enjoy a FREE Kellogg’s breakfast at any Morrisons Café nationwide. The breakfast includes:
✅ A bowl of Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies
✅ Dairy or non-dairy milk
✅ A free piece of fruit (apple or banana)
No purchase is necessary – simply ask for a"Kellogg’s Breakfast" at the café till.
With many families feeling the extra financial pressure during the summer holidays, this initiative aims to provide a warm, welcoming space where everyone can enjoy a healthy breakfast together.
